  1. Funny you should mention good ol 93 wins... take a look at our 1-run record (8-3) and extra inning record (3-0). Deja vu?
  2. I miss Felix just for his walk off celebrations. Couldn't we pay him 500k to be the bat boy and help celebrate with the team?
  3. I watched the whole inning and it was deja vu... he gave up a leadoff single on a ground ball... he threw a nasty 2-seamer to freeze the next batter... he walked the next... then walked the next to load the bases... then gave up a bloop shallow single to tie... then got yanked. He didn't give up anything hard, his 2-seamer looked nasty, he got squeezed at the plate and got babiped to death. In other words, the exact same nightmare we witnessed last year.
  4. This was earlier in the year. This was last night.
  5. As soon as the extra inning game is over in Tampa, regardless of the winner, the Orioles will be 1 game out of the wild card.
  6. Buster Olney said on his podcast that the average time for a pitcher-to-home-catcher-to-second is about 3.3-3.4 seconds. With the Cardinals reliever Seth Maness (reportedly one of the fastest pitchers to the plate in the league) on the mound and Yadier Molina behind the plate, the play above was about 2.9 seconds. And Billy still beat it. Glad he's not in our division.
  7. I wish that gif above showed more. If you look at the replay, you can see the umpire (clipped out on the left) look up at the rafters and duck in a joking way... kinda like there was a sniper or something. Wilson laughed and did the same ducking motion and said something to the ump. <iframe src='http://wapc.mlb.com/shared/video/embed/embed.html?content_id=30081451&width=400&height=224&property=mlb' width='400' height='224' frameborder='0'>Your browser does not support iframes.</iframe>
  8. If you're a professional baseball player, that's the sorta thing you just never tell anyone and suffer in silence. Speaking up will only increase the frequency of your suffering.
  9. Poor Markakis might have actually put up a respectable case for All Star candidacy if he didn't drop off a cliff this June. April OPS - .700 May OPS - .916 June OPS - .573
  10. Best catch of the year.
  11. It means he's a little further down the depth chart methinks... but he's still an option if things go terribly wrong over the weekend.
  12. Sawdust... ...or pain leaving the baseball
  13. Ah to be 12 years old when your favorite team is good.... good times.
  14. How old is your kid brother? A new fan since 2012?
  15. It was said multiple times in 2012... but tonight's game is a game that the Orioles simply don't win from 2000-2011. It was weird to see the Orioles win these games last year and it still feels weird watching them win them this year too. I can't quite get used to this.
  16. Awesome... I was waiting for this thread. I'll rep you as soon as I can, Frobby. This is my favorite part of the post
  17. Not a gif... but... <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h367/isestrex/Cashman_Begging.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Cashman_Begging.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h367/isestrex/yankeeopeningday.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo yankeeopeningday.jpg"/></a>
  18. And yet he still didn't really perform in his time with the club.... .183/.256/.352/.609

  20. To be honest, I really don't want Ford to succeed as I think we have better options with higher upside. But he's making it really hard to root against.
  21. There's a very distinct possibility that the both the Sox and Yanks finish in the bottom spots of the division. I think then, and only then, will people really see the division differently. Though everything I've read and heard regarding previews and predictions is that the AL East is a full 5 team division right now and the days of having a top 2 and bottom 3 are gone.
