If he hits and plays defense, they will probably make a case to keep him up. They could use a RHB off the bench. I'm not saying he pips anyone in the IF but if he's not horrible in the OF he could end up getting time out there in a corner.

I don't think it's unrealistic that if Norby hits some and doesn't play embarrassingly bad defense he'll stick around. Westy pipped Frazier last year, so there is a precedent that if you come up and handle your own, you'll be given a shot.

I think the bigger takeaway is don't sign pitchers after the season starts and expect them to pitch well after having no spring training.

When a player is diagnosed with a concussion, he goes on the concussion-specific seven-day disabled list, meaning that he must sit out for at least seven days. Going through the protocol doesn't equal being diagnosed with a concussion. I assume with Norby coming up that he has been diagnosed with one, though.
