(sorry for the lame World of Warcraft video behind it, but I hate it when youtube videos are a single screenshot)
Check out the banjo in the breakdown!

I'm in Mets country aka Queens.
My friend who I'm staying with has a kegerator.
This is the most genius/evil thing in the world.
I've been awake for less than an hour and I have a red plastic cup that's half full of Brooklyn lager sitting next to me.
Genius/evil be damned.

Musical crack.Boston - self titled. The guiltiest of guilty pleasures.AOR at its finest (if you consider that a compliment).
So addictive.
So not good (for you).
I'm rocking Modest Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain with Leonard Bernstein conducting.
Check out the Fantasia version

I would post one mountain of a jam if YouTube had all 33 minutes and 41 seconds Allman Brothers Band's "Mountain Jam" on it's site."It is better to be quiet and have people think you an idiot, than to open your mouth (keyboard) and remove all doubt."I should stick to posting jams... like this Nick Drake noise.

Seriously?
What band didn't make music like this in 1971?
It's still a great track.
Don't make me school you on my psychedelic music knowledge.
I wont be beaten.
(There's tons of emoticons that should have been in this post, but I'm an adult and not a twelve year old.)

Has anyone read The Cheater's Guide to Baseball by Derek Zumsteg?
He's one of the dudes from the U.S.S. Mariner blog.

Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx which will be followed up by none other than Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...Pt. II.

If you like that kind of stuff, you may wanna look into some of the Sublime Frequencies releases. This is what I'm listening to right now. Over and over and over -- can't get it out of my mind.Got it from the September issue of MOJO magazine; the "Africa Rising" cd has this and a bunch of other great tracks from African musicians.
This track -- "Tenhert (The Doe)" by Tinariwen -- is by a band of Taureg musicians from the Sahara, several of whom were conscripted into Moammar Qadaafi's army. Seriously.
Groovy groovy groovy.

Not sure if this towards me or not.Not to downgrade Kinks Stones or Stooges... I could post equally searing sessions of all, just don't be dissing CCR.I love CCR.
The choogle fascinates me.
I have actually asked musicians who incorporate said choogle into their music and they still can't explain it's meaning to me.

CCR: 6 records of more or less awesome in less than 3 years- checkKinks? Stooges? Stones?I mean CCR is decent, but better than the above?
Ability to convince America that they had ever been to the bayou despite growing up in El Cerrito, CA - check
Created the word "choogle" - check
Kinks: 6 records of more or less awesome in less than 3 years- close
Ability to convince the entire planet that they had ever been to a place they wrote about so often that it's what they're identified for despite having never been there - nope
Created a word that I still have no clue as what it means - nope
Stooges: 6 records of more or less awesome in less than 3 years- not even close
Ability to convince the entire planet that they had ever been to a place they wrote about so often that it's what they're identified for despite having never been there - nope
Created a word that I still have no clue as what it means - nope

Creedence Clearwater Revival
They may be the best band from the late 60s and early 70s.

You know what the Orioles need to do?
- Ditch baseball in favor of live action Mouse Trap
- Hand out water balloons to fans at Boston and Yankee games; you hit a player from the opposing team, you geta prize
- Replace players with elephants that have gloves attached to their snouts
- John Leguizamo appreciation night
- One night a month they should encourage fans to dress like pirates and hold up signs that say "Neal Huntington can't trade for value and that's why will never be the laughing stock of Major League Baseball"
I put way too much thought into this which tells me I'm not drunk enough!

I "accidentally" bought a liter of bourbon instead of a fifth.
I also "accidentally" bought stronger bourbon than I normally do.
