  1. My first Orioles game was in 1991 at Memorial stadium. I watched Mike Mussina pitch, and I remember finding the game somewhat boring because it was 1-0 until the 7th, when I think we left because it was a weeknight. I was 6 years old. A year later I became an absolute fanatic of Camden Yards, after going to my first game there in 1992 against the Oakland Athletics. I still recall that game with a crystal clear recollection, as if it were one of the transcendent moments of my life...you know, like, a first kiss, or a wedding day, or a first child being born...I remember a few years and a good few (45 min, or worse, depending on traffic) trips to Camden Yards later when our english teacher asked us to think of a sort of 'happy place', a place we felt spiritually connected to, and the first thing that came to mind was Camden Yards. Throughout my adolescence I would pester my parents to make as many trips to Camden Yards per season as possible. The last 7-8 years it's been harder to follow the O's because I live don't live in the U.S. any longer, and games start when I'm typically asleep, but I owe a lot to the OH to keeping me connected to the team, where otherwise my connection might've faded all together.
  2. <p><p><p>LA2 I'll take the literary stylist compliment any day <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> but in truth my inspiration was much more humble, I've been watching Twin Peaks of late and I'm pretty sure I was just channeling the goofy/ridiculous pretentiousness of Dick Trumane</p></p></p>

  4. <p><p><p>Yup; I wanted to make my name bj in honor of him but then I realized it probably wouldn't be a good idea, so I chose d instead as it's my favorite letter. </p></p></p>

<p><p><p>*nah, not at all, I just used that pic because you said 'pretty' and 'QB' and that was what came to mind. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p>

  5. Elaine pumped about her boys, George and Jerry perhaps a little inordinately sympathetic to the cause.
  6. <p><p><p>ah, the ol' yale university days. I may only be 5'11 160, but man could I sling it. but hell, it is true I've been drinking too much of late. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p>

  8. <p><p><p>Tried to rep you on the (Exercise) thread but 'must spread rep': glad you weren't offended by my post (re: Flaherty), I was afraid I came off as a bit of d**k, but you know I like arguing/discussing with you so I kind of let go in our arguments knowing that you've taken/given far worse from/to me!</p></p></p>

  9. Walker to Delmarva, Delmonico to Frederick, Townsend to Bowie? Or is that rushing Delmonico? I'd like to see what Walker can do at a higher level; I don't think there's much surprise he's hitting NY-Penn league pitching.
  10. Honest question: do you guys think the Blue Jays have a better team than the O's this year? Everyone seems to be quite high on them as an org., but from what I can tell, I'd take the O's MLB talent over the Blue Jays'. That's just a layman's take, hence why I ask you all.
