I checked the schedule and there are plenty of make up opportunities for tonight's game.
1) Double header tomorrow (due to 12:30ish start time; end of series)
2) Double header 7/31 (due to 12:30ish start time; end of series)
3) This Thursday 5/16; mutual off day, we stay on home stand, Jays travel to Tampa
That being said, this gets a bit more cramped if both games get rained out.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to be "that guy". It sounds especially noticeable on the low notes.
I try to arrive a hair later than normal on the versus Toronto games, getting through both anthems is quite a slog... so I'd rather skip.

Pretty sure he won't opt for FA. He'll play in Norfolk.
If he clears total waivers again and is still unwanted by any MLB team, I kind of wonder if he'll break out the old Japanese and Korean phrase books and start practicing up. Always seems to be an option for AAA.9999999 players.

I'm only about 8 miles from OPACY as the crow flies and there isn't a drop of rain. This must be very localized.
This passed by us through Glen Burnie a few minutes ago and is already gone.
I am surprised that this hasn't triggered at least a short rain delay though, this is nuts.
Oh, there they go, finally. -
If we come back after literally handing them 7 runs in this game, we'll call this one the Mother's Day Miracle
-
If we were going to have any extended shot at their bullpen today, we'd have a better chance, but we're probably only going to see them three innings tops.

This happens when all of your scoring depends on hitting laser beams.
This offense can't advance runners, doesn't steel bases enough, doesn't manufacture runs. It's bombs or nothing. This tends to not be enough in these kinds of tightly pitched games, and is a bad omen for the playoffs.
Huh. We've apparently been watching different teams this season. Interesting.

Hitting absolute laser beams at their fielders. Not great luck that inning.

Why is Urias in the game batting .165?
Because if he's on the roster, he's going to occasionally start. A better question is, how much longer will he be on the roster?

See, he's not invincible.

Three unearned runs
Two, as you can't assume the double play. Again, I'll agree to disagree with the rules of baseball.
EDIT: Forgot how he reached, you're right, that's all three -
Ramon. Really? Dude, it's a force play and the catcher's going to go to first after he catches it. You don't have to rush the throw.

Unearned run,
I believe that a pitcher's errors shouldn't be able to generate unearned runs, because it doesn't make any sense that they do. So I'll just go ahead and disagree with the rules of baseball on this one.
-
I thought that was gone for a moment. McCann didn't want that up, for obvious reasons.
-
I've been watching baseball for four decades and could count on one hand the number of times I've seen a pitcher hit a runner with a pickoff throw to second, so I'm sure that bodes well.

I was kind of hoping they'd have left town before Carroll stopped slumping.

this game might take about an hour...to finish
Double no hitter through three.
This is one of those games that's over in 90 minutes, or the teams collectively score two dozen runs in the last three innings. There's usually no middle ground. -

Great inning for Kremer. Maybe a bit of a gift from the ump on the last pitch.
24 minutes ago, Tony-OH said:It could still be considered a gift from the umpire nowadays, in the fact that they called it correctly and didn't miss it, as they do so ridiculously often

Chad Whitson was absolutely atrocious yesterday. Moreno caught one “strike” about a foot below where he had intended, somewhat getting crossed up and Whitson still raised the arm. (Think this particular at bat was against Cowser.) Me and my friend were at the game and were in complete disbelief.
He was calling them low away against Mountcastle, way inside against Mateo and Mullins who is already slumping bad enough had a pitch way high and out the zone called a strike on 0-1 when he was initially attempting a sac bunt.
This guy was Ron Kulpa, Laz Diaz level bad, sadly I’ll now be remembering his name when in reality he shouldn’t even be working in A ball.
Looking at some of his other scorecards he looks to be as bad as the worst of them.
Long overdue for the electronic strike zone, enough is enough and seems to keep getting worse every season.
Weirdly, Ump Scorecards had this one as being flat on favoritism, even though they got quite a few more calls in their favor, and ours generally felt more impactful, putting our hitters in pitcher's counts in several important at bats.

Thank God for Apple TV. Here’s to hoping all games will be on Apple TV in the future. MASN is an absolute joke.
I'd be totally fine if Apple or some other streaming service picked up the streaming rights, and MASN disappeared. As long as the streaming service had all the games.
-
Yeah, I'm not rewarding MLB or Apple for this arrangement, not even a trial subscription. Either kill RSNs and go full streaming, or stop giving onsie-twosie games to various streaming services every year.
I don't know how MLB thinks that making games harder to watch through archaic blackout restrictions and streamer sprinkling is a good thing for the future health of the sport.

Does the Metro run late enough to get to and from the stadium?
I went to a preseason game with my brother there a few years ago and parking was so far away that we may as well have walked from where we came from, and driving in the city was also a nightmare. So if I ever go to another game there, it's going to have to be on the train. -

They need to adjust the blown save to the pitcher who's "earned run" blew the save. If an error "blew the save" then none is awarded.
Yeah, it's quite bizarre that this isn't the case.

Well gentleman, I can't stay up any longer on this game, I have a stupid early start tomorrow. Hoping that the O's find a way to win this one, and I hope you all have a great evening.

If We Lose Tomorrow, Does It End The Sweepless Streak?

I would say no.
The last game in this series will be played in July. Just because it was postponed, doesn't mean it's not still a game in this series.
