  1. Somehow it looked good on the bobble head.
  2. First question....because Kevin Brown looks like the guy from Mad Magazine and Palmer is afraid he’ll bust out laughing if he looks at him while trying to talk? Orange unis, 1971.
  3. Meh, Scott thinks he has a better slider than he does and doesn’t trust his FB enough. He’s inconsistent along with sometimes being light out. Jimenez was never lights out with the Orioles. He had one season when he wasn’t horrible, but not good. Scott could be good if he can get his head screwed on tight. That, and hope Severino is playing in South America next year.
  4. Except he’s a HOF pitcher who, oh btw, is also one of the best color commentators in baseball. You? I pray your next post is by orders of magnitude more intelligent than this last one.
  5. For all his struggles this year, it’s an absolute pleasure to see him succeed now.
  6. You know, I can remember years ago arguing with guys here who kept saying they should get rid of Scott. I kept saying they’re going to give a guy who throws up to 99 mph every chance to succeed. But it’s no good to have the velocity if you’re afraid to throw the pitch from where the velocity is derived. He has to throw the FB more and if he does it will only make the slider more effective.
  7. Yeah, I could see him in that role. Two nasty CHs to the first hitter for a K. Like his stuff, doesn’t seem intimidated by the moment.
  8. Problem is, he needs the FB. You can’t throw 3,4,5 consecutive of the same damn pitch to ML hitters without them making you pay. And the thing is, his FB is pretty good. It doesn’t help that Severino sucks at sequencing amongst his many defensive shortcomings.
  9. Falling in love with the slider again, Severino forgot Scott has a FB.
  10. Attendance 30,898 for JP bobblehead night.
  11. Alright, I can stomach a solo HR to a real good hitter I guess. I guess....
  12. Good for Harvey....seems like a good guy and has pitched without any luck coupled with being really bad at times. Nice to see a couple strong efforts in a row rewarded.
  13. Quality pitches to get Zimmerman. Another nice play by Urias.
  14. Harvey with only 48 pitches through 4 IP.
  15. Or, any right now. Besides that, the reality is it’s not happening on this team, this year. Not only have the candidates crapped the bed when presented with an opportunity, Elias isn’t rushing anyone right now unless they’ve proven themselves. And that has not happened.
  16. I’ll tell you what, there were glimpses of this in his last start, but Harvey is really making some good pitches with good command.
