  1. Would prefer they win the division of course but the season won't be over if they get a wild card.
  2. Big Papi has a lot of inflluence.
  3. I agree with this sentiment. The Yankees need to be cold in the ground, so that they are not buyers by the deadline. Hopefully the Rays (no budget) and the Jays (decimated farm system) follow suit, leaving the Orioles and Red Sox to duke it out. It just too early to count on anything though.
  4. If the Yanks can finish off the sweep against the Sawx, that would be good news for us. Assuming both teams keep their overall pace.
  5. Breaking news: Garrett Richards is getting the visit from Uncle T.J. The Angels probably want to take a serious look at Millone.
  6. His numbers are terrible so far this season but I would want word from the scouts tonight on him.
  7. Tough to say. Teams often have vastly different records even from the first half to the second half of any given season.
  8. Boston picked a great time to be playing the Braves. Texas is leading the Yanks again, 3-2 in the 7th. The Orioles are facing a potential buzz-saw in the Chi-sox, fresh off their pounding of the Jays.
  9. It's not a problem 'tall, with as many IP as we need out of the bullpen. I would say we even have five if you include Bundy -- of course Bundy's future lies in the rotation for now.
  10. https://twitter.com/intent/retweet?tweet_id=723337707687161856 Five runs scored against the bullpen too. Though to be fair, no Betances or Miller.
  11. Maybe we can get Tommy La Stella for him. :thumbsup1:
  12. DONE DEAL AND SEAL (inside joke) BUH-BYE Yanks! Go Stros! I'm on the bandwagon!
  13. ...but relievers aren't worth paying, right?
  14. Tony Sipp (7th) - 1.99 ERA, 1.031 WHIP Will Harris (8th) - 1.90 ERA, 0.901 WHIP Luke Gregerson (9th?) - 3.10 ERA, 0.951 WHIP They're pretty solid. Also Pat Neshek and Mike Fiers available.
  15. Minute Maid Park and Yankee Stadium have some strikingly similar HR rates. Basically they're the easiest parks to hit HRs in.
  16. 6 outs, 3 runs. Good job by Sipp. I liked him as a possible Orioles target once.
  17. 7 outs, 3 runs. Terrific pitch. I think it was a ball though.
  18. Here we go. This is the time of game we've seen time and time again, teams get bit by the Yankee stadium bug. Where a pop up by a left handed hitter can turn into a HR. Nine out, three runs.
  19. So my first question at this point would be, how many ABs does Carlos Beltran have left in this game? He's the one to watch for.
  20. I was wondering if this would be a separate thread 3-0, nine outs from happy!
  21. ...and De Aza has been better too since leaving Baltimore. Especially in Boston! Again, hindsight, but the best move may have been to stay the course.
