  1. How did Bichette not have time to get back to first?
  2. Yeah, our program has fallen off so much I have a hard time even wanting to watch that game now. It's just brutal.
  3. My mlb.com feed tonight is way behind. Adley just stepping in the plate for me and you guys are all Hell yes a double...lol
  4. I think you are right, Frobby. Reading that thread it seems familiar to me. I had not heard of that kind of deal before with a player and I remember trying to think of all the possibilities and how it might work out for both the company and the player. Looking back, and seeing how it was only 10% for almost 5 mill up front, I think it was a deal without much risk for Jonathan (unless he became an absolute superstar), especially if he needed the money then. Thanks for linking that, it was indeed fun to read.
  5. Thanks, those numbers make much more sense and ring a bell with me now. I think the 90-100 mill was a number that other posters on the Baltimore Sun O's board (that I posted on back then) were throwing around for maybe the high end of his earning potential. At the time I always wondered how it would turn out for Jonathan but had forgotten about it for awhile now, so I appreciate the information.
  6. I'm not trying to change the subject of this thread, honestly I am not, but the Jonathan Schoop reference reminded me of something and I wanted to ask. Didn't he (Jonathan) take some kind of money up front from a company (I want to say 90 mill or something but that doesn't seem right), in return for all or part of his future earnings, around his last year or two with the O's? For some reason I am remembering that. I hope I am not completely wrong. If he did take more than 50 mill then he seems to have made a pretty good deal.
  7. Earl was so right about bunting, there are so many things that can go wrong, it is rarely worth it. Edited to add that I didn't mind the attempt here as there were no outs and two runners would advance, it was the horrible execution. Just hard to watch when the offense is struggling like it is.
  8. Whoa, Ryan wanted to swing at that last low pitch so bad...lol.
  9. Lots of very mediocre pitchers do it seems.
  10. Heads up play by Pham to go back to first. Ryan should have made him commit to second before throwing, though.
  11. While they're at it can they make them with a little thicker material and not so skin tight. These kids nowadays wear t-shirts that are thin, tight & stretchy. Good grief.
  12. Glad he's safe, but if that were called against us I would be livid. He wasn't blocking the plate when Adley got close imo.
  13. I hate the Blue Jays more than I hate the Yankees. And that's saying something...lol.
