My prediction is that not a single player coming back to us from Atlanta is able to break the top 20.
What? Lol.
JCE and Cumberland def are.

The players the Pirates gave up for Archer make me scratch my head even more. I mean, I'm not a minor league savant, but I've certainly heard of Meadows and Glasnow.
If all these moves were motivated by salary dumps then whoever put us in the hole by spearheading the O'Day, Davis, Trumbo, and Cobb signings should be tarred and feathered. Preferably during the 7th inning stretch of a weekend game.
Glasnow is a reliever, Meadows shine has come off.
Wasn't great.

You need to educate me because at first glance I don't get it. I really don't get it.
Carmona is a serious upside guy a ways off. Which is what this team lacks. Ortiz is a nice young arm.
Villar is a toss in, but he has had some terrific years prior. Could be a nice piece we can move later on. Not sure how much control left.

It looks like you got Ortiz, Villar, and Carmona. Schoop only has 1+ years of team control remaining from what I read. Free agent after 2019. That's a huge return. Carmona is a real sleeper and might be the best player you get in return. I personally really really don't like this trade for the Brewers.
Yeah, all my Brewers buds are furious.
This is a good return.

Killed it. Absolutely killed it.

Oh my god, our team is going to be so bad next year. Davis, Trumbo, and a bunch of C prospects while the good prospects are developing.
We're rebuilding. This is good.

That return isn't as good as you think.
Meadows is a nice get, but Glasnow looks like a reliever at this point. He has fallen off hard.

Gohara or Touki will likely headline the haul.
Agreed.
Riley would be a big get, but man I'm just happy we got this done.

a lot of shine off that arm in the last few months, not sure I'd go that direction if I'm Baltimore.
I would happily take Gohara. Happily.

Gohara will be involved. He's the arm they're ok moving reportedly.

Gaus to Braves. Let's gooo

This is exciting.

Pretty much this.
Others have control, much less likely imo.

Comp a scout gave to Roch today was David Hess. That’s not too inspiring.
I'd be surprised based on what I've read on him.
I've seen people project him as a #3/#4 down the line if his stuff continues to improve as it has this year. Maybe last year Hess would've been a comp, but his stuff has ticked up and he didn't start pitching til junior college. Still has room to grow at 22.

"Massive rebuild." "We've been trying to win today, but now we're going to look to the future."
Continuing to say and do all the right things. "Massive rebuild" is music to my ears. Can't do the whole "retool" or not go all in when rebuilding. Gotta do it the Astros way.

Tigers return was awful btw.
Orioles Deal Gausman/O'Day to Braves - Schoop to Brewers

Meadows went on a tear for a month. Still doesn't project as any stud. He's better than anyone we got, but Archer was getting a bigger return whether we thought so or not.
We likely locked up VVM and got 4 legit pieces. JCE and Cumberland are both rock solid pieces. What the hell are you talking about is the question.
Also, one is a damn good RP. The other arm is playing up this year and has upside.
