He was specifically referring to the Gary Sanchez homer on Friday night. He noticed that Sanchez was late on a fastball on the previous pitch, but then on the next pitch (high fastball) hit it as if he knew what was coming. I don't know if there's any merit to his statement, but it was interesting that he said that.

Sanchez has always sold out to the fastball and has the ability to crush it. He was late, then sat fastball and sped the bat up.

It was an 0-1 count and he was late on a fastball. Pretty good guess that he would get another fastball.

"Skip, I've already thrown 130 pitches and this is my first start since Tommy John. And we're already up 18 runs. Are you sure I should go back out there for the 8th?"

"Dang it Brnovich we need this win. The people of Bowie need this win. You go out there and shove until I tell you to stop."

Skip: Brnovich, do you know how much Tommy John costs? We need to get the most out of that ligament!

Just came here to post the same thing.  How funny is that?

Ha.  I saw that.  Guessing he went 4 or 5, someone else relieved, and they combined the stats of the two without ever listing the 2nd pitcher.

    Per the Baysox recap:

Starting right-hander Kyle Brnovich went 4.2 innings of one-run ball with no walks and five strikeouts. The right-hander settled in after allowing a first inning homer and threw 3.2 consecutive shutout innings.

Out of the bullpen, Kyle Virbitsky (1-0) threw 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts in his Double-A debut. Left-hander Trey McGough punched out three in two perfect innings of relief and Houston Roth pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to clinch Bowie’s first win of 2024.

  4. They are doing their best "Norfolk Tides" impression tonight, up 15-1 in the 4th. Collin Burns is currently a double away from the cycle and has 6 rbi's so far.

Anyone know when the rest of the break camp rosters come out?

Games don't start until next Friday for AA and lower, so I'd expect Wednesday, though there will be some announcements for individual players.

Hudson Haskin isn't on the roster? Surprising to see some of these names included over him.

Billy Cook also...would've thought he'd be on there.

Gotta wonder if they have some injury and will be at Extended Spring Training for a bit.
