  1. Not bad after getting drilled in the family jewels. On a related note/question, with the seemingly increase in catchers getting drilled there, I wonder why some still keep their throwing hand down by their cup, when no one is on base? Sisco does it and...Whoever Tampa had out there catching did it. I would rather a catcher gets hit in the cup and shakes it off/misses a game vs. hit in the hand and miss multiple weeks.
  2. Trying to watch the replay on MLB Network and instead they are showing a documentary on the Yankees/Indians Jim Abbott no hitter. ?
  3. Like I said, after Wednesday, since tomorrow is a home game and Tuesday/Wednesday are the two longest trips of the entire spring schedule.
  4. There will probably be more after tomorrow (back to back travel games.)
  5. Thanks. I’m wondering what Wells off season program is like, especially close to Spring Training for him to suffer an oblique injury two seasons in a row. He doesn’t generate enough torque in his motion for it.
  6. Wow, I was MUCH more usefully last season!
  7. Simple things: Repeatable mechanics (does the pitcher look like he is doing the same thing every single pitch, motion wise), if it’s a newer pitch, does it look like they have a good feel for it? Does the fastball seem to show some movement? If the pitcher gets hit around a bit, do they seem like they power through? Do they leave pitches up?
  8. On the bright side, the Hangout Game Thread was going really well.
  9. Strange play at the end. Ball is hit back and hit Kremer, who flipped it to Taylor Davis at first but was too high. Davis threw to 3rd to try and back pick the runner, but the ball got away from Rondon, who lost his glove and was holding his arm afterwards. Winning run scores.
  10. 9. They have the option to play an extra one, but Girardi motioned to the umpire before the bottom of the 9th that this was it.
  11. Cervenka with a GREAT stop on a breaking ball in the dirt there to keep the runner at 2nd. Underrated play.
  12. Shallow fly ball to Williams in center. Gets the first out and keeps the winning run at 2nd.
  13. Kremer, working deliberately here. Hit 95 on a fastball that missed low and away.
  14. Kremer back out to finish this one out, either way. McKenna with a strong throw from left, but it was off line. Runner at 2nd to start the inning.
  15. Orioles go 3 up, 3 down on 3 strike outs. To the bottom of the 9th we go, still tied!
  16. Zach Jarrett pinch hitting, strikes out on a ball well in the dirt.
  17. Nice curve there by Kremer for the strike out to end the inning.
  18. Taylor Davis with a nifty pick on the grounder at first and takes it to the bag himself.
  19. Kremer with a strike out looking for the first out. Sitting around 90 miles per hour, per the announcers.
