Yes. They are kinda playing from a console. It has been a quiet evolution. I can see this in MLB if it ever gets to that.

Can they simulate 'wave' noise also?

The wave and rally caps are a part of baseball. :) :) :)

Im with you, soo much money, there has to be a fair way to compromise.

They have a spineless whimp as commish, voted in by the owners, as they can control him, like a puppet.

    You were told "NO POLITICS!"

Really?  I saw nothing political in that link.   It was all scientific, and a very educational read.

And -- I feel that it had some encouraging ideas about the potential for fans of an outdoor sport like us.   In the vast outdoors with outdoor air circulation, if you follow the science in the article, the transmission risk is not that bad, other than the people directly around you.

Seemed like worse news for enclosed restaurants or workplaces where the air mostly remains in the room and a number of people staying in place for several hours.   But for ballparks, beaches, and things like that, it seems like it could be interpreted positively.

Just do what the Germans do.

And commercials. Noticed they really didn't cut down the in between inning times because that's where their commercials come into play. I'd rather see more in game sponsored stuff then the same 10 commercials that I can quote word for word by May every year on MASN.

Mostly the game has changed because the strike zones got smaller, guys starter going deeper into counts for the most part, and of course the fact that guys are now all trying to hit home runs which means more strikeouts. Also teams like the Yankees and Red Sox that have lots of guys who will just foul pitch after pitch off until they get a mistake they can mash.

I kinda toyed with the idea of starting the count at 1-1 and once you get to two strikes, you get two fouls, on the third you are out. This would encourage batters to put the ball in play more.

Ever torture yourself by listening to a Stankee game?  Just about every pitch is sponsored by some business.

I was on a tennis forum and they put up old matches from the past, like borg-McEnroe in the 80s or Ashe-Connors in 75 Wimbledon final.  Seeing no time wasted between points played , such as no towel to wipe face after every point, was so refreshing as compared to the current tennis with all the delay between points.  Baseball is just the same, games in the 70s and earlier were much more enjoyable due to the lack of time wasting between pitches.  People under 40 will never go back to baseball unless something is drastically done to fix the ‘slowness’

I used to love watching tennis.  Can't do it now, tho.  I'm really fed up with a constant barrage of fist pumps and screams, even after a double fault.  Same goes for golf.  Even in baseball.  Someone gets on base (point to the dugout).  They have to do something (ie shooting an arrow) for the camera.  And please, don't even bring up endzone dances.

In Korea, where they ARE playing baseball, it became a sign of civic duty to wear masks. Their first death was the same day as the first death in the US. The death total due to Covid-19 in Korea is 256. The death total here, where not wearing masks has become some kind of a political statement is near 80,000.

I'm sure the Koreans didn't shove Covid positive patients into nursing homes.

I am beginning to think I already had the coronavirus.

I went to Disney World last week of January and came back with a bad cough.  It lasted for a week.  Then in the Month of February I felt fatigued.  And had a rash over my back and my face.  Also had piercing headaches and I never get headaches.  Went to the doctor at end of February and she gave me cream for rash and said if it didn't get better go see your dermatologist and did blood work and scheduled MRI and CAT scans.

Well my rash didn't improve with cream.  I canceled tests as didn't want to get infected.  Blood work came back fine.  Fatigue went away a week or so later and rash went away too.  Now I don't have headaches or Fatigue anymore after having it for a month. l

Today looked up rash and covid and saw it was a common occurrence.

I had a tinge of it last week, but I beat it back cause I stay in shape.
