Even sheep synchronized swimming is better than listening and reading doom and gloom.
As an aside, the was a resurgence with the Spanish Flu cause WW1 ended and the doughboys returned home.
Old Man: Did you hear about this guy who swallowed a yo-yo?
Mother: Swallowed a yo-yo?
Old Man: On a bet. Some clodhopper down in Griffith, Indiana.
Mother: They write the silliest things in the newspapers.
Old Man: What do you mean, silly? I mean that's real news. That's not like that politics slop.

Florida has been hit pretty good although most of it is in the Miami area.
Well, nobody goes to outside sporting events in that area anyway.

You could have had a bacterial infection in your lungs that was causing pnuemonia. When you get weak from an illness it is easier to get bacterial pneumonia. Very common in nursing homes and hospitals to the final cause of death to be pneumonia. Anti-biotics could have helped that. Not saying this is the case but there are reasons you could have gotten better besides the medicine you received. And even if it helped you it doesn't mean it won't make other people worse.
Why are you so negative all of the time?

My own GP who I followed up with, said he has been reading the medical world, he didnt say where, and that the combination they used on me was really working well in some cases.
One final thing, and I doubt I will find anything to say to convince you other wise. So we will agree to disagree.
IV Fluids do work wonders, on those that are dehydrated and I can tell you, I was not dehydrated, I had my normal water intake of 4, 32 oz tumblers during the day and evening.
I did not run a fever, I never had any fever with this. I was not vomiting or having dire end.
The virus was attacking my colon and I had intense pressure onto off my chest, and cold chills, with white clammy skin, classic heart attack systems.
They said I had serious pneumonia, which was news to me, as I hadnt had any trouble breathing until that morning when all this hit me and hit me hard.
They also put me on O2, and my Pulse Sox rate was dropping.
Are you taking any meds now?

So you are saying perhaps it might not be a good thing to solve major family issues ,spliced down to an hour?
Who knew , I thought everything could get solved in an hour.
Unless it's a game between the Red Sux and Stankees. Those games aren't decided until hour number 4. And that's only because commercials are dragged out.

KBO has only been playing intrasquad games up to now. How could they have a bench-clearing brawl? With themselves?
EDIT: Found the incident you're describing, but it was in Taiwan, not Korea. Taiwanese baseball returned earlier this week.

Maybe they did it the old BC way.

Once there is a handle on this pandemic and people start assessing this act, there are going to be so many stories of fraud, waste, and abuse.
I don’t have a small business, so I haven’t really paid attention, but I have a friend who runs a nonprofit who couldn’t get his application processed. He said that there were no safeguards in place to prevent forgery of payroll records. The banks pretty much said, if you want us to get the money out quickly, then we can’t perform due diligence on the recipients.
I know of 2 people who own their own business (remediation) who have been going non-stop even during this shut down. Hiring people also. They both applied and got 2 million each even though they don't need it. Their attitude is, "If it's there, I'll take it." I was looking for just a couple of thousand and I can't get anything cause it's all gone. Luckily, I have some saved up for a rainy day.

People will look at the numbers and make some very "logical" but inaccurate conclusions. Like, see only x number of people died, it was (is) no worse than the flu. If States didn't shut down and people didn't practice social distancing the health system would have been overwhelmed and the numbers would have dwarfed the typical "flu" numbers. Thanks to all that have done their best to keep themselves and others safe. Let's hope sports do their best too and make wise decisions, not one's just based on their pocketbooks.
Proof? You mean those models that have been wrong right from the beginning?
What will you be saying when a depression hits and millions die from lack of food? It's right around the corner, unfortunately. No one is picking the fruit and veggies cause the workers are from out of the country and Americans won't do those menial jobs. They'd rather sit on their butts and collect unemployment cause that check is more than they would have made if they were working. Wally World, Target, HD etc are still hiring. No one wants to work. It's almost at the point where cattle will need to be slaughtered and buried because processing plants are closing. There are already beef shortages in some areas. Dairy farmers are dumping milk.
Starvation vs. Social Distancing. That's a tough choice.

Here's a link to the reopening guidelines released by the White House. Ultimately, governors will make their own decisions for their states - but this is at least a good source of information of how things might look: https://www.whitehouse.gov/openingamerica/
Phase One would occur after 14 straight days of a downward trajectory in cases and robust testing in place. Phase One still encourages people to telework if possible and avoid groups of more than 10 people. It mentions that sporting venues can operate again, but under strict physical distancing protocols. I don't see how a pro stadium can open at this point, even to limited crowds. Weird Arizona quarantine spring training - maybe.
Tampa won't have a problem.

Whomever that posted fake news about Cuomo saying that the NY would open in May. Cuomo just extended shut-down until May 15th and said they would re-evaluate when they get closer to that date.
As for the people who keep saying that schools would open later than sports. Here is the opening schedule in Switzerland.
Berset said the first phase of the epidemic "is behind" Switzerland and the next steps will happen in three phases. First, on April 27, hospitals, health centers, dentists, physiotherapy and massage salons can receive non-urgent treatments again. Hairdressers, beauty and tattoo shops and gardening shops will also reopen.
Hookers are considered essential in Switzerland?
Cool.

China welded people into their homes and destroyed roads so people couldn't leave quarantined cities. I think the only first world country that had less reaction than us is Sweden.
So, are you saying that we should be forced to stay inside our homes?
Au contraire.

He can't really be a Nats fan. He was born in New York. He didn't come to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda until 1968, which means the Senators were only a thing for three more years and they only had one halfway decent season in that timeframe.
By my flawless fan reasoning flowchart he should be a Mets fan, since he was born in NY, grew up a Dodgers or Giants fan, when they left he should have become disillusioned, and eventually recovered and started rooting for the Mets. The only way you become a Yanks fan is if you have some kind of deep, dark, genetic or psychological flaw. Which I guess he could have, but he seems like a decent chap.
I'm guessing the departure of the Giants/Dodgers scarred him deeply and left him unable to commit to any team. To go along with his coworkers and neighbors he pretends to be a Nats fan, while secretly wishing that he could go to a new Ebbets Field or the Polo Grounds.
I was born in NY. I HATE the Stankees. How did I become an O's fan?

I come here for sports and now we have people posting links to Fox News???
i know 3 people who have died in the last week from Covid-19. I don’t know if I can recall anyone who died of the flu in my life.
Last time I looked, there is no sports. Cricket would be most enjoyable at this point.

Just the opposite.
From the NYT 4/14/20.
New York City, already a world epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, sharply increased its death toll by more than 3,700 victims on Tuesday, after officials said they were now including people who had never tested positive for the virus but were presumed to have died of it.
I'm so sorry!
