  1. I remember Mark Reynolds hitting one into the Left Field Club picnic perch. I was at the stadium and it sounded like a gunshot.
  2. The Orioles aren’t going anywhere. Some of you all need to lose the paranoia. This issue is about the Angelos’s wanting a deal more in line with what the Ravens get from the MSA. The two teams aren’t treated the same by the MSA and tbh, it isn’t fair. I don’t blame the Angelos’s at all on this one. This one is on the MSA.
  3. Of course the books are different. They are two separate companies. But Peter was putting the $$ they made from MASN back into the club.
  4. When Peter was running things, he kept John on a short leash and he hated it. As soon as Peter was incapacitated, the shackles were removed and look what happened. When Peter was running things, his goal was always to try to get the club to break even, although the club would usually lose a couple of million every year. Not sure how things are now, but might be why John is willing to open the books to everyone. They don’t make as much from MASN as most people think. You all should trust a lot of what Lou is claiming in his lawsuit…
  5. Take it from someone who worked there for many years and worked many Fanfests. The reasons they stopped are: 1) $$$. The Orioles lose money every year doing this. It’s not a matter of if, but how much. 2) Logistics. I don’t think people understand all of the effort and headaches (and arm twisting in some cases) of scheduling all of the players to be here, as well as ex-Oriole greats, broadcasters, minor leaguers etc. Scheduling travel, hotel and transportation for each of these people is a lot of work. Packing up the Von Paris trucks for a one day event is a big ordeal too. It’s an awful lot of work for an event that loses $$$. Reserving the Convention Center space must be done a year in advance as well. Add to this the Orioles going through a rebuild and then COVID… Really the only reason do this was FOR the fans. The O’s got nothing else out of it other than selling some season tickets. Think of the Caravan plan as a compromise.
