I am the biggest Os fan there is. Have been since I was a child. I am also a realist. This team is just not that talented.

The bottom line is we are playing 5 guys in our lineup every night who were discarded by other teams and who would not start on the other major contenders. You can't win a WS that way, especially with average pitching. People can talk about our farm system all they want to but there are really only 2 players making a difference.....and that is GH and maybeeeeeeeeeeeeee AR. Who has sucked lately. I mean.....this is the 2014 team all over again. Farm system? We aren't using it. And we probably shouldn't. It is too early.

I agree. He does not look in shape to me at all and he has turned into a 125 pound slap hitter with almost no drive or power. Drafting a catcher that high is just a loser.

I hate to say this, but I said it over a month ago. This team will struggle to make the playoffs. You have a line up hitting wise that IMO is lacking true impact players other than GH. Compare it to other power house line ups and by comparison it is TERRIBLE. People can say Adley is great all they want to but I said since the first game of the year at Boston that he somehow turned into a slap hitter instead of a driver of the ball, and that has held true all year. Watch his swing, especially as a lefty. He tries to just bing something into left field. Zero power. It is kind of disgusting to watch tbh. Who else do they have on this team that are true Game Changers besides GH? No one. You have a few good hitters in AS and Cedric and then......a bunch of re treads and also rans. Pitching? Do they have a true #1? Or even a #1A? No. Feleix is gone. We all know this. He is not coming back this year. This team is going to struggle to make the playoffs. Major fade out coming up. I got ridiculed for saying this in August but I even believe this more today.

Thing is we saw this coming.

This team is done, Zero energy.

None of this is a surprise. Their last few games the O's have looked completely dead. Not sure what is happening but if they keep playing this way we could be heading for a monumental collapse. Collapse as in not make the playoffs. They look like zombies.

Maybe Hall. He is a guy I could see playing and excelling at sports since he was a kid. Mateo? I mean he is fast but I don't get elite from him in the way he could play a lot of sports and excel. GH is elite. The Chad in High school who was all state at everything and got all the Stacy's. Adley is not. Manny was. You can just sense it.

Agree but he is already starting to break down. GH is like Manny. Just a pure athlete.

Said this all year. Only true elite athlete on this team imo is GH.

He has done this all year since game one. He always wants to slap the ball. Never HIT it.

He is not someone to fear. He is an opposite field slap hitter. He very rarely squares up and crushes a ball. I said this earlier and I said this after the first game of the year. D is ok but not elite. I mean let us be real there. He is a great leader and his teammates like him. But elite athlete? No.

I have to say, as someone who grew up in MI with UM, MSU, Tigers Lions and Red Wings where all the games were sold out, and who has lived in S Cal for the past 12 years and who was at the game last Monday in Anaheim.....which has a really nice crowd.....the O's crowds for the leader in the A League the past few weeks have not been great.

Adley? I mean I said this to my wife in the first game of the year against Boston. He went 5 for 5 or something but every hit was weak. And he has done that all year. He rarely hits a hard hit ball. Where he crushes it. He is always trying to place the ball with a weak swing. So sick of it.

It makes zero sense. He throws pitches I would crush....or at least feel like I should. I mean my god this guy sucked in the minors. But this team does this. This is why I don't trust this team.

Yup. We were compltely befuddled by a 40 year last night, and now we are being completely befuddled by Orioles farmhand who had a 5.00000 ERA in AAA. And yet somehow people expect this team to go far in the playoffs? No. We need at least 1-2 more pieces hitting wise and a PURE shut out pitcher to be a true WS contender. I mean Rom? Are you serous? This guys succccks.

You simply cannot lose a game to a non playoff team starting a pitcher who looks like he should be in a geriatrics home. If I am a playoff contender I look at this game and say "they can't hit any sort of curve or slow pitch". I mean wtf was that? Means threw the ball 100 x better than than Wainwright and yet we lost the game. Not good.

Hate to say it but yes. This is why many GM's won't draft a catcher super high. They all just kind of become the same guy in the end due to the wear and tear.

Adley is never going to be the hitter we thought he was going to be. Just the nature of the position. It takes a huge toll on the body. He is a Matt Weiters 2.0 who is better looking and with a better team disposition and attitude. Hate to say it but it is true. Catchers just simply can't become elite hitters.

Very poor performance> Team looks tired to me. Further...and if you can't score more than 2 runs off of that guy? I mean this guy is a 42 year old who can barely get the ball to the plate. Hate to say it but no way you are beating 3 good pitchers in a playoff series. Wow.

I have no idea what this even means. I mean watttttttttttt? Serious. You seem to be arguing something completely pointless. Why? Only YOU know. Bottom line is he threw almost 30 pitches. And not good pitches. He was high and wild the entire time. Again...in a game that meant nothing. I am not sure why this is even arguable. But....if you want to argue why this was a good thing for him? I am all ears.
