  1. Going to lookup splits before/after AS break for 2024, but my gut tells me the O’s faltered against the NL Central division the last two years. Let’s see how October plays out!

Small sample size but I'm surprised Jasson Dominguez has struggled so far. Seems like Yankees rookies always start strong.

Look at Aaron Judge’s late season call up, similar to Gunnar’s call up time frame. Both won ROY

The stats say he’s lost something. I think his velocity is down from when he was good.

I’m going straight positive on his potential and his trend was going up before the trade. Jake Flaherty comes to mind, based on IP maxing out before the trade. But Roger’s is more a deception Povich type lefty.

Believe ME is going on bounce back potential with a full season in. This guy could be a #3. This was a glad you can pitch season for Rogers.

As a #567 SP, will take it. I like Stowers off the plate hit capability and that is missing in this lineup to some degree.

will be following this for years, hopefully!

Norby too, as a natural hitter. We need contact hitters!

  4. Rogers could be a #3-5 type starting pitcher. He’s pitched that well before the non arm injury woes and this is his first season playing the entire year.

Lots of potential for a bounce back career year.

  5. Watching MASN game tonight and the broadcast was showing hitting coaches with talking points. They had charts etc. on display and I could almost read their lips.

Insert conspiracy theory #1. The other team reads the lips of what I just witnessed. Without injury, I would not say this, but this season has been nothing but! Cover the lips coaches. Know thy game…per Seth

I hope I'm wrong too. Westburg's one of my favorite players. The other element is we don't know how rusty he'll be when he comes back. Time will tell.

Agree that Westy (and Grayson) are on that cusp if they are not playing in the next two+ weeks, especially with their overall MLB experience. Hope this all plays out for the better!

    Well said.

For the record, I think Westburg isn't even going to be playing in the postseason, but what the hell do I know? 😉

Same here, “wish we had him two years ago”

Absolutely, but we should cut @gtman55 some slack, give credit where credit is due, and call out BS where we see it no matter what the source.

There are way too many reactionary negative posts/threads this season. Sure the season the last two months have been extremely frustrating.

The thread  posts here were bad when the Orioles were roaring through the AS break (after every loss). We have seen fire Hyde, fire Elias, drop Santander, designate this that and every other f’n thing, including a CY ace type pitcher who should be skipped in the rotation.

Insert Westy having good news with the cast coming off, followed by a “he won’t be ready until the playoffs” is not calling out someone. Just stop being negative when there are so many positives happening in health news and a team that is proving to be resilient during the worst case of scenarios.

if gtman55 thinks Jordan is not healthy until the playoffs, I disagree and hope he is wrong.

He literally acknowledged that people heal differently. Number one, why jump on him for something he acknowledged? Number 2, it was very un-Frobby like

There is a wide range of Westy being ready. We shall see what happens and no one is right/wrong for speculating.

Frobby being snarky. Didn't @gtman55 say "I know people heal different"?

He also said he didn’t expect him to be ready until the playoffs, which is weighing Betts more than a younger Westy and different hand injury.

Hyde said in a post gamer that the goal is to get everyone back during Norfolk’s last week of play. This will be the real barometer of each player’s health.

It seems Adley has already broken down,  so there's that.

It’s those F’n Boring PNC commercials. Wall sit? Hope that took one take you bank WS stealing commercials 🙂 :)

seriously that commercial should have been one take. Since the AS break, AR has been icing his entire body

  12. Over the course of a long season, every “ace” goes through a rut. Burnes is not a having a CY young type season, but he’s certainly had good success.

saw his game against the Astros last week and he was hitting 97 throughout the game, had zero hits through the first 3 innings, before the implosion. This happens in 162 game seasons!

Ben made an interesting point early in the game last night, Corbin is throwing harder the last few starts, which is causing his cutter to straighten out for the hitters. Trying to hard is not an ace move either.

Still haven't gotten them back for not playing Mussina in the All Star Game.  Next time a Blue Jay gets hit, Oriole players should yell "That was for Mussina"

Will change my vanity plate to CTGVSBJ
