  1. .395 BABIP is not sustainable, so the average will obviously come down a bit, but .320AVG for Adley does not seem unreasonable. Line drive percentage is up. Ground ball percentage is down. Infield fly ball percentage is down. Walk rate is up. Strikeout rate is down. He has genuinely progressed.
  2. They DH him a lot. He is basically our DH 20% of the time. That's a lot rest on the knees. As far as full days off. Should probably shoot for around 8-10 complete days off for the season.
  3. Hopefully have him come to the plate with runners on base and get some better pitches to hit.
  4. I'd say prime years of average to slightly above average defense, 20HRs per year and about. 290AVG are reasonable projections. Hes already quite muscular for a 19 year old kid. 20 more pounds and he will be musclebound at only 200 pounds which will no doubt hamper him defensiively. Hes not going to be a large man. He does not have the frame.
  5. I'm very hesitant to pencil in some guy who has never faced anything better than low A pitching as the next Jeter and Boggs. So basically you're projecting his hit tool to be borderline 80? Yea, ok, good luck with that bro. Holliday is a decent prospect, but everything with him is projection. We will know more when he moves up a few levels. The pitching in low A ball is atrocious.
  6. You are correct. There are far too many fat meatballs grooved right over the plate. We need more emphasis on movement and command. We need Spencer Watkins on the mound now.
  7. I haven't received a 1st warning.
  8. He pulled a low and inside fastball and hit it hard. Fair execution, but there are 9 men on the field.
  9. Grayson can wet the bed in the 1st inning and follow up with two scoreless frames and people call him Jesus Christ. So hey, why not Dean?
  10. Like I said, this offense is a playoff offense. The pitching is straight ass. We are just 1 or 2 pitchers away boys from the world series.
  11. Bruh........ Everything is in the middle of the plate. At this point it's like Rodriguez and Kremer get hard ons throwing meatballs.
  12. There is no point in good stuff with no command. Unless you are throwing 102 plus I don't give a rats ass about velocity. Locate your goddamn fastball. End of discussion, if you can't do it then get a day job.
  13. In before the stats nerds come in here telling us how important velocity is. Baseball is about fastball location. Always and forever. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  14. Dean you are in the middle of the plate. Outside corner at the knees, go there, live there, be there. Fastball low and away. Go there.
  15. It's a joke, but if you were there you might not think it's something to joke about.
  16. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I'd trade two top prospects for a proven ace.
  17. You are so right! We need to trade and acquire a top starter. Now.
  18. Love the post. I love Mullins and Mateo at the 8 and 9 spot. Turn the lineup over and wreak havoc on the bases.
  19. I don't understand the hate that non combat arms get. That said, I was Armor and did a deployment in Iraq. I was 19 when I signed the dotted line. Knowing what I know now I'd have never joined. I hate George Bush.
  20. I agree. Having been in battle with men I understand that you cannot reduce everything into some mathematical formula. There are intangibles that cannot be measured. Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face or an IED goes off to give an analogy. And I know the latter all too well. I like the current construction of the lineup with Hays, Adley and Mounty at the top.
