Trying to find a silver lining and all I got is “At least I didn’t bet $5000 on the orioles tonite…..

At one point during the broadcast, the announcers made a comment that the biggest difference between the two teams was Texas terrible BP and our amazing BP. I laughed out loud but it got me thinking that if the rest of the country thinks we have a great BP, we look like bigger choke artists than we already are.

We are probably rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic but you lose the ability to worry about a downgrade in defense when you $%#* the bed offensively in the first 2 games. You don’t completely disregard it but it can no longer be the priority

Mullins has got to sit. He is BRUTAL right now.

I’ve been highly critical of this pitching staff but what a start today and two great relief appearances by cano and Perez. this team has no quit in it. We really are outgunned in the pitching dept in regards to the other playoff teams but we will battle to the end. That’s all you can ask.

With the loss behind us, I feel less reactionary… that said, it is astounding that we have the record we have with this atrocious BP. I get it, we lost our closer, the SPs can’t make it out of the 4th, we play 17 games in a row… blah,blah,blah. Players make plays and although we have had our clutch moments throughout the year, the entire team is coming up small at the worst possible time. We could start to hit at a drop of the hat but no one can feel confident that this BP will magically get better with rest. finally, I could get over all of this cuz it’s just one game but I’m still aggravated that our asshat owner can’t shut his mouth and routinely reminds us that he’s the Dan Snyder of the MLB. Sorry for the rant.

At what point is the lackluster play no longer a product of fatigue and more so a straight Choke? and Hyde went from a guy who adequately managed a BP to a guy who I wouldn’t trust to boil water. Playoff BP management I’m sure will be fire.

Even when things were going good, this BP succeeded with unicorn wishes and magic beans. Now, we are all talking like one day off is gonna make them even respectable. I’m just going to try and enjoy the ride for as long as it goes but if you think we are winning a pressure packed series with this pen, I’ll have what you are having…

Just forfeit the next two games cuz so our BP can get their energy back. I mean, throwing 15 balls, 4 nights in a row is enough to bring any man to his breaking point, right?

Good point. I guess the thought is that someone’s gonna have to be the sacrificial lamb one of these days until we get to that off day.

Postgame thoughts: I feel great about Bradish and GRod going into the playoffs Webb should have gone another inning. Im not ready to give up on Fuji and his 100+ arm. He should have the same chance as me to play in the playoffs. This BP is a disaster right now. I’d tell flaherty that he is first up behind GRod tomorrow and he throws till the end of the game regardless of the score/situation. Kidding but not kidding…

Make it quick and psinless

I’d like to keep both Fuji and Lopez but certainly not on the postseason roster. Id like to see an off-season with them because we seem to be able to fix a lot of people lately. I just see this BP biting us in the rear end in the playoffs. I really hope I am wrong.

Predictable…. Poor BP usage. It’s worked the last few games but you fly to close to the sun, you’re gonna get burned….
