I think we'll look back on DR's purchasing of the team as the most important moment in franchise history.
Sure, the opening of Camden Yards, The Streak, the dominant teams in the 70's, hiring of Elias, etc, are all up there...but ever since the Nats move to DC and stole a significant portion of our fanbase and revenue, we've desperately needed an ownership group that brings energy and is willing to spend money (jury is still out on the latter, but all indications are that DR intends to spend).
10/10/2024 4-2 win vs D-Backs: Nobody is going to agree with this but I'm going with Kimbrel. Brought into a 1 run game in a new role, he didn't pout, came in and got the job done. Got the defense off the field so the bats could extend the lead. Even got squeezed out of at least one strike.
Nice job by Mateo to single and score on Gunnar's double and the bullpen overall was solid.
