  1. Notwithstanding the very encouraging starts, we still don't -- certainly I don't -- know what to expect from Bradish or Means this season.
  2. That could be a way to get him on the IL for a few weeks.
  3. Every once in a while Baumann throws a pitch or two that makes you think he could become a quality pitcher, but he never gets there.
  4. Baumann putting the "garbage" in garbage time.
  5. Good to keep Westie off first base. (If he'd gotten on, it would have been cool if he had just stood on the base for a pitch or two.)
  6. I always have assumed it's to reduce the number of games exposed to cold, rainy weather and to generally lower early-season attendance,
  7. The list of 19 Harvard alumni (not necessarily graduates) who played in the big leagues doesn't have a lot of names that I recognize. I see Eddie Grant, the longtime Giant infielder who was first major leaguer killed in WWI, longtime umpire Jocko Conlon, and Pete Varney, who caught the two-point conversion pass that tied Yale in 1968. https://www.baseball-almanac.com/college/harvard_university_baseball_players.shtml
  8. That's OK, mlb.tv. I didn't really want to see McKenna's leadoff HR. Much rather enjoy a few more seconds of one of your stupid, repeated-over-and-over commercials.
  9. Should have pinch-run Mullins after the Santander walk.
  10. The Orioles have five excellent hitters in Gunnar, Adley, O'Hearn, Westie and Mountcastle. Why you'd bat Santander in the midst of those guys is beyond me.
  11. At least there's no Kimbrel risk today. Well, I don't think there is.
  12. I really enjoy Hedberg, but wasn't exposed to him until after he had died. For those who aren't familiar with him, I highly recommend checking him out on YouTube. After the game.
