  1. Just had to come on here and vent for a moment. As a resident of Alabama, MLB opened a lottery drawing for tickets to the Giants/Cardinals game at Rickwood Field on June 20th. I think the total capacity is about 10k. You can imagine my surprise when I received an email this morning when I check my email and see that I won the lottery and had a code to order up to 2 tickets. I was a little bit surprised to see they were $275-400 but I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime deal. I went ahead to order 2 tickets. It didn’t matter which section I tried. It would keep telling me that seats matching my request were not available. I tried to just get one ticket, it opened up the number of available sections but it still wouldn’t let me add even one to my cart. I know they were available because sections slowly disappearing from availability. I’m so aggravated that I went from pumped about being able to get tickets to having website problems and not being able to order. Oh well, maybe I’ll be able to get tickets next time MLB comes to Alabama in about 40 years. I’m certainly not buying tickets on the second hand market.
  2. I would love for someone to explain or justify to me how in the world Mullins catch on 4/15 is listed at 65% catch probability. There are a couple of guys in the league that make that catch but it’s a very short list. Maybe I just don’t understand the stat.
  3. I may be wrong, but I think they were doing this last season. It seems like they briefly highlighted it during one of the broadcasts last year.
  4. He has to have something wrong. He’s just fallen off the table in this series.
  5. I feel like someone is sitting on the remote that’s changing the input back to the DVD player.
  6. It doesn’t matter if Buxton would have caught it. The ball was over the fence, it’s fair game for fans at that point.
  7. Not sure on how you’re getting there but parking is awful. And by awful, I mean almost nonexistent.
  8. I’m getting cold just watching these guys breath.
  9. Better get those bikes cranked up tonight.
  10. I was 11 days old. I hope I can see one that I can actually remember.
  11. As much as I disagree with some of your fandom (War Eagle!), this is where I find myself. Sure, it’d be nice to win the division again but what got to me was less of the early exit and more of how we exited early. It just felt like we were completely overmatched. I don’t know it it was fatigue, nerves or just simply running into a buzzsaw. I just want it to look like we belong. Common sense would say, you won 101 games, of course you belonged. But as a fan watching, it certainly didn’t feel like it.
  12. Pretty awful showing after getting 3 teams in. 0-7 overall. 0-5 against Texas. I have a feeling the Rangers will cool off for the ALCS though.
  13. Less disappointed by the early exit than I am how embarrassing this whole series has been. We haven’t looked like we had any business being in the postseason. Crazy after winning 101 games.
  14. On a positive note, Baker’s postseason ERA is only half of Clayton Kershaw’s.
  15. I would love to just be able to enjoy playoff baseball.
