Would you think of putting him at third and Westburg at first?
  2. I sure hope you are correct. Mullins will need to be replaced eventually
  3. This kinda would defeat the save stat. If a starter leaves up 1-0 in the ninth with 2 runners on and the closer lets the inherited runner score it doesn’t make sense that the starter gets the blown save. If the reliever had quelled the rally, he gets the save. If not, he blew the save.
  4. Because there is no obvious successor to Mountcastle from a fielding perspective. They just want as many options as possible. I think we all think Mayo or Kjerstad ends up at first, but maybe the Orioles have concerns about both as fielders? Or maybe they just want a 4th OF with some additional flexibility.
  5. If Irvin keeps it up, I probably push Means to the pen. He is a free agent. Why would you cater to him vs the guys that are going to be here?
  6. Exactly. This helps the Orioles for trades. People might look at a guy like Norby and think he is more likely for real vs if Ortiz was struggling. They might also think Norby’s stats are depressed some because he is depressed due to his circumstances.
  7. Gotta give up something to get something. I will take the year of Burnes.
  8. He was swinging and missing at everything though. It wasn’t just the fastball. Westburg seems to indicate that more time in the minors might actually help some guys. He stayed the longest and had the best initial results, other than Gunnar's first September.
  9. Further on this, I think they are going to learn that guys that start off hot in a big-time program and then year after year get worse likely aren’t fixable
  10. It’s more than I’m saying that they’re better off taking 4 than taking a single guy like Kjerstad. If I were them, I would ask for Holliday but it isn’t going to happen. I was talking about something with some possibility of happening
  11. Leave him down while Mateo is cooking.
  12. If I were Oakland, I would ask for Stowers, Norby, Beavers and a pitcher with upside. They need bodies.
  13. It kinda described things properly since the RF seemed to be acting as if they were going to catch it. It turned out on closer inspection he couldn't find it, but that definitely wasn't clear.
  14. I will take base runners however.
  15. Why do they throw breaking pitches to our guys?
