No, Elias just can't add 100 million in payroll w/o asking anybody, imo, but if he went and advocated it to ownership I can't believe they'd deny it to him. If it makes so much sense for us, I think we should all pump the brakes and realize that the other side might not be so eager.

My point wasn't just LA. It was NY etc. I said it very specifically at the time. Baltimore is down low on the desired ML cities to live in. Why people get upset and want to argue with me about that, before eventually conceding I'm not saying anything crazy, over and over again, I'll never understand.

For the record, Castillo has 3/75 left on his contract with a pending 4th year 25m option based on IP. He'll be 32 next year. I think I'd do that: Mountcastle for Castillo. That makes me suspect the Mariners will want more.
