I see what you did there. The only solace we can take from Beavers is that Henderson, Cowser, Kjerstad and Norby did not do much there either. Obviously Fabian has turned into the better prospect because Fabian was always in front of his defensively and now has hit better with a better K-BB. Beavers reminds me of Nolan Reimold in that he's a good athlete overall, but does runs and even hits awkwardly. Aberdeen is tough place to watch games from MILB TV because the entire league is pretty poor overall for broadcasts though Aberdeen itself did improve this year but still no center field camera.

Gunnar is going to be every good 3B at some point. He has all the tool and just needs consistency. He was never Machado defensively at SS in the minors so I'm surprised with his struggles at time this year. But he has all the tools and work ethic to get there. His defense has already come around from earlier in the year when I think he was taking his bat struggles to the field.

Fabian is definitely on fire. I could see him get the promo to Bowie soon!

Estrada hasn't played since the injury and Tavera still doesn't have a a hit o not exactly the start they were hoping for through the first week of games. I will say it must be tough with so many players on the roster to find playing time. Must be stressful for these guys to get a start and then may not play again for 2 to 3 games. The Orioles need to go back to two FCL teams or have less guys on the roster because some of these guys need to be playing everyday.

I don't know the severity but I'm guessing it was probably something bothering him when he was up in the majors as well because he's never looked that lost at the plate. Plus, the Orioles signed AAAA guys to fill Stowers spot long before they needed a spot for Kjerstad so this is not a "need a roster spot" move.

I still would have rather of had Westburg playing 2B all year, but Frazier has been fine overall.

I'll have to disagree a little bit here. It was a very bad read but also bad game awareness. The Orioles are up 4-1, had one out and pitcher struggling. If the ball had gone off the catcher's glove and gone back to the wall, he would have been able to jog to 3B. In that situation, he has to know that he can make it to 3rd easily because he's already in scoring position and with his speed, almost any single into the outfield is going to score him.

I hope he keeps getting bombed and is available cheaply for a trade. He's be a good pickup down the stretch and imagine he'd pitch better in a playoff atmosphere.

Perez needed that outing. Now Hyde can use Bauman in the 9th and have Coulombe in case he gets in trouble. We give Hyde crap for his bullpen management, but that was a good call letting Perez pitch through the 8th.

The ball went off the catcher's mitt and bounced away a few feet and Gunnar tried to get to 3rd and was easily thrown out. Should have counted as a CS.

Fermin is really a very good defensive catcher from what I can see this game. Blocks well, cannon for an arm. That's another reason not to be aggressive with him out there.
