  1. They need him to change his approach with two strikes. He can't be in "I need to be able to drive the ball" mode with two strikes. The guy is an awful two-strike hitter and unfortunately, he takes a lot of strikes and fouls off a lot of pitches and ends up in two strike counts way too often.
  2. 2nd and 3rd with no one out and they get a ground out RBI. That's it. This team really struggles to hit with RISP. Again, I get it, Eldred is a good, but everyone is trying to pull everything.
  3. Yeah, sometimes really good players just need to be reset a bit. I've given him through the upcoming homestand and if he's still scuffling I think you gotta send him back to Norfolk for a bit.
  4. No doubt he's very good. But last I checked, Mountcastle gets paid too and swings at balls inside at his ankles making 1-2 instead of 2-1 is a junk approach, not some great pitching.
  5. We are getting close to the point that he will need to start producing. I figured he would get six weeks but he does look overmatched too often. I still think he's going to be good (though I have legitimate concerns about him facing left-handed pitching) but he may need a bit of a reset f he can't get it going. The Orioles have been able to survive his inability to put the bat on the ball so far because of his ability to walk, but you can't be one of the worse fielders in the league (OOA wise) and not hit for too long.
  6. Mountcastle 3 and Henderson 4 is just typical awful lineup management by the Orioles. You have two guys who can be struck out. One with his knucklehead swing at everything until you get a center cut breaking ball approach and another who can't hit with two strikes.
  7. He's not faking it. Their pitching is good and the guy made some pitches when he need to. Of course, he knows he can just out think Mountcastle. Throw balls at the ankle and then bury a few, then just throw a middle middle breaking ball and watch him go back to play with his legos on the bench!
  8. Lol, this inning is on Mountcastle's POS at bat. This is why he can not be in the middle of an order. You just can't have a guy with his approach at the plate in key situations. He's a good guy to have up when the game is already up 4-0 or something and then he's Babe Ruth. That approach is why he's a replaceble asset.
  9. Good Lord. What an awful awful at bat by Mountcastle. That's a pinhead at bat. Swings at bad pitches then watch middle cut breaking ball.
  10. Mountcastle swinging at two seamers at his ankles!
  11. C'mon, we need Mountcastle to get into one here. No DPs!
  12. Well he has an accent, but that's not my issue initially. He was just speaking so low and monotone in the beginning. He's been better the last few innings.
  13. Stowers starting to make me look bad with garbage swings and approach like that. BTW, anyone notice how good the Braves starter's are? Kind of shows what a legitimate WS contender starting pitching looks like.
  14. Nope, just making a note of how bad Andrew Jones is in his delivery. At least he seems to be talking higher this inning so maybe someone said something.
  15. Lol, the Orioles infield throwing this year from the left side of the infield has been brutal. Really strange how all three of them have struggled at times this year on throws.
  16. Just awful. This is not an exhibition game. Leave the players alone during games!
  17. I would be very surprised. First, it's in the bloodstream for the Angelos family to ensure they can always make a profit so they are not going to risk someone crashing. Two, Elias has shown no appetite for taking on risk. None. He doesn't move top prospects for need. He doesn't sign pitchers for more than a season. He has shown no interest in taking on risk with long term contracts.
  18. Lol Atlanta fans. Dude hits a lazy shallow fly ball to center field and fans cheer like he hit it to the wall! They're as bad as Boston fans judging flyballs.
  19. At some point the Orioles need to adjust the way they get their starter's warmed up. Way too many runs given up in the 1st inning.
  20. Glad the Braves aren't wearing that old school hybrid uniform where they took the 70's uniform color combo with the ugly 80's onward A logo with "The" written on the jersey.
  21. Here's what we do know, Andrew Jones is not an announcer. Speak up man and maybe use some voice inflection.
  22. Good, didn't know that. I have Peacock so I was just watching it there.
  23. Have the Orioles ever scored the first time through the order this year? Yeah, that's hyperbole but we sure don't get off to good starts like the other teams seem to do against our starting pitchers.
  24. A crappy streaming only day with a 1130 start!
