We have to face it, the Oriole have three pitchers prior to Coulombe's injury that you feel good in high leverage and that was Coulombe, Cano and Kimbrel. Webb to a lesser extent, but still, that was it. Now they're down to two. They need more impact relievers.

Not a lot of choices. Akin needs to do his job better. It was a lefty. He needs to get him out not throw a middle middle fastball to a guy who hit 50+ homers.

You sound like @RZNJ. His minor league numbers, including statcast numbers would suggest you are wrong. Not sure what you guys are looking for, but hitters don't make a lot of hard contact. You don't need to throw 95MPH to have success, especially as a lefty who can throw 5-6 pitches.

He's got pretty good stuff overall.
