I’ll be in section 113 tomorrow behind the Orioles dugout. I’m excited to see Grayson in person.

Yes, I’m quoting my own post. It was easily 50/50 Orioles fans there. I’ve at least a dozen ballparks and the Trop is just and ugly and depressing place to play/watch a game. I don’t know how they catch popups for fly balls.
I was in Miami a few weeks ago and the fans were into the game big-time….never felt like it for the Rays “fans”.

Grayson had no feel for his curve today and “labored” through 5 perfect innings. The batters were on a mission and just waited for their pitch.

Hopefully they complete the sweep tomorrow.

Question from a non-FB user: what’s the reason someone would post on the OH FB page rather than here?  Are there advantages and disadvantages?   What’s the volume like here vs. there?

I follow a few Orioles groups and it’s a reactionary group and a rough read. There are some knowledgeable posters, but it’s mostly emotional whining. I can’t imagine what those folks would have posted during the dark days, but I get the impression they are mostly fair weather types as well.

  3. Seems like a decent thread to vent on MLB...Blackout restrictions will prevent me from watching the O's this weekend from 5 hours away in OKC.

This is a longer distance than the O's playing in NY. Nice job "growing the game".

I'll be listening to the guys on the radio.

You don’t pay Lyles 11M next year.  If he is pitching reasonably well And teams are interested in him, he will get dealt in July, as he should.

I doubt he gets traded. We've had to many guys hurt (Means), cant stay healthy/innings limit (Kremer/Wells), or are having trouble in AAA (Not named GROD) that were penciled in the rotation. I'd leave Akin in the BP all year with his success. There's not many left...

  5. Great 1st..I'm glad they gave Brown his request and even more thankful that both sides kept it quiet so the Ravens rec'd max value. It does have me wondering if this changes things for Lamar, even though he was made aware ahead of time.

I hope we hit on underrated prospect and he develops into 280 and 20-25 hrs.

I guess it also says something about the system if he's an underrated 2nd rounder.

Yea I think Bozeman is gone.  Even if he took a discount and was good with top 10 money, I still don’t think you can afford him.

They can afford if if they trade LJ and pay TH a fraction of his contract. IMO, TH will be starting for a team at some point and he's earned it. Take 30 mill ticketed for LJ next year and invest it in other positions, namely the lines. With being in OK, I don't know what the popular opinion is in the area, but this has to at least be considered.

Like Rob, I came into this year not wanting to extend Lamar.  Just wasn't sure he could be the passer needed despite his other great tools. this season though, I've seen his improvements on the long and medium passes and even him going through three reads only to come back to a 4th for a completion.

There is no such thing as the perfect QB, but how many other QBs could have this team 5-2 with as many injuries as they've had to the OL and RB?

To me, Jackson is one of the elite QBs in the league and hopefully the Ravens can figure out how to extend him without destroying their cap numbers.

Great points. With LJ's improvement, leadership, and carrying the offense I don't see how he's not making 35+. I like the Prescott model 4/160.

There's an outside chance he'll have 2 MVP's on his rookie deal..
