MC, Hays, as mentioned and I'd like to add Tanner Scott. It would be great to see him continue his step from last year and eventually become an elite closer.

I think Matt Wieters is available.
He is....great call. Classic Orioles signing.

Odor's OPS was double Chris Davis...and he homered every 13.8 AB's vs 0 in 52.

Did anyone see Harb's press conference?
"We're not begging anyone to come here".
Sounds like the @Roll Tide interview may have been close.

Watkins left without a deal. May or may not mean anything.
Zrebiec said the Ravens seemed happy with the visit.
I think he’s an upgrade but isn’t the direction I would like to see them go in.
It seems like if guys leave the Castle w/o a deal, they're not coming. Hope I'm wrong. I think Watkins would help for the games he was healthy (8?).

Sounds like sour milk coming from the former "Passing Game Coordinator".

I'll say it...3B should not have been a problem position for the next 10+ years.

Looks like we finally have a set number.
13th best in the NFL..not bad.
Side note: I can't stand the Pats like most, but it will be interesting to see NE's moves w/their 68M.

DL Hall. It would be great to see him beat the command/control issues. The twitter videos are impressive.

Prayers for you and your family. Always enjoyed your posts and knowledge on the OH.

This screams video game trade, but I'd do it.

Real feel 25 degrees, 13-15 mph winds, and Few snow showers probably later in the game.
I don't think it will play a factor in the passing game.

(25) T1-T3 guys: Go O's!
Tier 1: Players with high expectations of both making the majors and playing at an All-Star level for a number of years
Tier 2: Players with an above average expectation of making the majors and being a solid contributor
Tier 3: Players with an average expectation of making the majors and being a solid contributorFor comparison..TX, Det, and BOS each have (23) T1-T3.

I couldn't pick Diaz this high. He's been a .265 hitter for 2+ years in the Bal system and his plate discipline isn't great. I think this is telling year as he turned 24 on 10/7.

Going with the Can't Miss (Rutschman) and the Sure Thing (Mountcastle).
With MC proving it clearly at the MLB level, he's my #2 as well. Only 14% (6/43) agree as of now...

Considering the fact that he is 25 years-old, yes, I think it is.
He may wind up pitching 2 or 3 more injury-riddled seasons, he may wind up pitching 5 or 6 more seasons with middle-of-the-road health, or he may wind up pitching 9 or 10 more seasons with those early-career injuries well back in the rear-view mirror.
Of those 3 hypothetical situations, I would not be surprised at all if it were the first or the second. I would be at least somewhat surprised if it were the 3rd, but I believe that that supposition is still possible.

No snarkiness intended. Considering his history..I think it's 45% pitching 2 or 3 more injury-riddled seasons, 45% pitching 5 or 6 more seasons with middle-of-the-road health, and 10% pitching 9 or 10 more seasons with those early-career injuries well back in the rear-view mirror.

Richard Bleier. Anyone else remember how sad he was to leave? BTW, He led the team in ERA.

o Or is Hunter Harvey destined to be a chronically-injured pitcher ???

Is this really a question? He was drafted SEVEN years ago and has 15 MLB innings, mostly due to injuries. If HH lasts to become a FA (2026), it will be a success story for all parties.

After paying CD 23 million for years, 5-8 for fan favorite who beat cancer? No brainer.

Yeah, but what's his exit velocity, BABIP, and OPS+ for the position he'll play?
FYI..that Trout guy only has a .960 OPS. It's the lowest of his career. Buy low?

This is what I find odd..Baltimore owns his rights until 2026, 13 years after he was drafted. I know he was injured etc...13 years?!
Draft: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1st round (22nd) of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft from Bandys HS (Catawba, NC).
Service Time (01/2020): 0.047 • Arb Eligible: 2023 • Free Agent: 2026

Good for Cedric (and the Birds). I hope he sticks as a 4th OF for a few years.
With the horrible extra-inning rule, it certainly helps to have guys who can get the runner to 3rd.
It's Opening Day! (for real, for real)
