  1. Relationships and the miserable ending that comes along with them...how one person can make you hate an entire state is astounding.

    Is that state Jersey?

  2. So why is Garrett Olson out?

He's only thrown 18 IP. You need 50.

Heh. For some reason I had felt like he had thrown more innings.

There is a chance that Olson would go back on the prospect list. The only way for Olson to make that is by pitching 50 innings. He wasnt on the 25 man roster for 45 days during the 25 man roster restriction period.

So technically, Hoey, Olson, and Penn could all remain on the list. All will be fringe on/off the prospect list.

  3. Is Wieters a better prospect than Rowell???

Is that more because he is closer to the majors??

Rowell has a higher ceiling, but Wieters will have the higher value because of his position coupled with his defense and offense. Plus the fact that he could be helping the Orioles in September 2008 doesnt hurt his standing.

  4. I'm pretty sure Penn isn't eligible. He wasn't last year.

Okay. I wasnt sure because it has to be 50 innings or 30 games in a season and I couldnt remember if he was up here that long, but he was.

  5. 1. Wieters

    2. Rowell

    3. Reimold

    4. Liz

    5. Spoone

    6. Snyder

    7. Erbe

    8. Beato

    9. Tripp

    10. Hernandez

Hoey, Olson, & Penn off the list because of ML time. Otherwise all 3 make the top ten and push off the 8-10 guys.

Olson will not be eligible anymore, but Hoey and Penn could possibly go either way.

  6. I like this list but isnt Arrieta regarded as the better prospect even though he was drafted a round after Bascom? IIRC, he got a much bigger bonus and was a Boras client

Bascom has already pitched in nearly 10 games so there are stats to back up his placement as well.

  7. I love these ;)

    1) Wieters

    2) Rowell

    3) Reimold

    4) Liz

    5) Erbe

    6) Snyder

    7) Beato

    8) Spoone

    9) Henson

    10) Perez

just missed...Hernandez, Tripp, Britton, Bascom, Arrietta, Mahoney

Haven't considered Penn, Olson or Hoey but that's still a nice top 15.

Olson wont be able to be considered for the list. Hoey MAY possibly still have rookie eligibility for next year, which would slot him in at #3 IMO.

I think Bascom should make the list, even if it is at 10. I dont think Beato deserves to be on the list anymore.

  8. Very interesting discussion. How do you guys have your top 10 looking now.

    Mine would be:

    1. Weiters

    2. Rowell

    3. Liz

    4. Reimold

    5. Erbe

    6. Penn

    7. Bascom

    8. Arrieta

    9. Snyder

    10. Beato

Im thinking more along the lines of:

    1) Wieters

    2) Rowell

    3) Liz

    4) Reimold

    5) Erbe

    6) Bascom

    7) Penn

    8) Snyder

    9) Tripp

    10) Arrieta/Spoone/Bergeson.

  9. Is it just me, or are the toilets in handicapped stalls set a little higher than in normal stalls? Every time I use a handicapped stall, I find myself mostly on my toes, rather than being able to plant my feet flat on the ground. I always worry that some guy looking under the stalls will see that and think I'm straining or something.

By the way, definitely B. I use the handicapped stall even when there's nobody else there, simply because it's more spacious.

Yeah, your right. The handicapped toilets do sit higher. It screwed my mind up the first time I used on. I was like, "I dont like using the toilet when my feet arent on the ground, I need that extra leverage sometimes."

  10. At University of Delaware, I run into the problems. I am an RA so technically my job is to live in the residence halls.

I hate the stupid freshman that dont lift up the damn seat and pee all over the seat.

And, as someone mentioned earlier, when the custodian cleans the bathroom, I am in there the minute the toilet seat dries.

My favorite article ever came out 2 months ago, when someone published the Top 5 Best and Worst public toilets at UD in the Review.

It was hilarious and disgusting at the same time. I actually spent one days walking through all the administration buildings to find the best toilets in case I was on that side of campus and wasnt going to get back to my dorm room.
