  1. Just finished watching Season 5 part 1 on Netflix. Awesome. I forgot how much I loved this show. I watched all four seasons last fall and couldn't find Season 5 anywhere. Also saw the first episode this fall so it makes sense now. I am definitely interested in seeing how this turns out.

BTW, I love the ending music and I found season's 4 and 5's ending on Youtube should anyone be interested:

  2. After swearing off wrestling for a while, my gf of all people made me watch it last night.

It was decent, though the ending Cena promo was one of the worst promos in a long time. Just a waste of time.

The Punk/Rock promos were what they were, but I was a fan of The Shield attack on The Rock and him coughing up blood, though that would have been better if it ended the show.

There were too many promos and not enough wrestling, but the the 3 beat the clock matches were really good and evenly matched unlike most cases. Orton/Cesaro, Ziggler/Miz, Barrett/Sheamus were all good matches on many levels.

My gf wants to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to see the PPV. The last PPV I saw was WM17. It might be worth going. Only 4 matches on the card, Show/ADR in last man standing, Kane/Bryan vs. Sandow/Rhodes, and Rock/Punk.

I just hope there is a SWERVE. Rock winning the title and Cena winning the Rumble would suck. Though it could be interesting if The Shield cost Punk his title and then it leads to a feud between the two.

  3. H

DVR is the best way to watch wrestling. You can fast forward through all the crap and watch a 3 hour show in 20 minutes.

Sounds like a good plan. I usually end up watching it on YouTube if I miss it. Or just read the results and look up a clip I think would be worth it, ala Cesaro/Khali.

  4. The Rock acknowledges its a PG show but the jokes on Heyman and Vicki weren't that funny.

I am done watching the full shows. The only way I'll be interested heading into WM is if Punk retains over Rock at RR, but loses the title to Rock in EC thanks to the Undertaker.

  5. They are discussing an Evolution reunion on Raw tomorrow night, since the DX reunion happens so much it isn't even special anymore. Heck, they just did it at the NXT tapings this past week.

I am also looking forward to Del Rio's title reign, even though I am sure it will be short.

  6. Very interesting turn of events. Here's something new for the Money in the Bank...

Zigler beats Del Rio straight up for the title.

Del Rio wins it back at WrestleMania...but then Zigler immediately cashes in the briefcase to again walk out as Champ?

I know, kinda dumb, but it would be different at least.

Transition Big Show into a feud with Ryback, if you must, or like I would like to see, Cesaro, now that the WHC is out of the picture.

And Ziggler against ADR could be interesting, especially with both having sidekicks. That would be interesting to see Ziggler win the title while still holding on to the suitcase. Or, really out there for a heel, but have Ziggler "drop" the suitcase to Big E, who cashes it in, wins the title, and then allows Ziggler to pin him. Granted that is too much Nash/Hogan.

  7. Del Rio just won the WHC in a Last Man Standing match at the SD taping.

    Interesting swerve.

Ironic Punk is the heel champion and ADR the face champion.

Also, apparently Big E gives his finisher to Hornswoggle after Ziggler/Aj vs. Khali/Natalya. I will watch SD just to see that.

  8. Been watching Super Smackdown Live. The opening segment with AJ/Dolph/Big E was pretty good. I am a big fan of AJ and Ziggler together, especially with the addition of Big E as the enforcer of the group. I hope Ziggler cashes in at the end of this SD.

  9. Yeah, the card being out there WHILE the voting was supposedly going on was stupid. And then how about when they BLEW their big surprise when they had Flair wooing all over the place BEFORE he even came out. Normally they are better at that stuff.

I am not so sure that was them blowing it. I feel like they gave the spoiler to get people to tune in. It will be very interesting to see the ratings for that quarter hour, especially as you said, it was stacked with Cena, Punk, Heyman, Shield, Team Hell No, Ryback.

  10. I agree with this. Even in the heyday of the Attitude Era, we would get the "moments ago" crap, like we didn't just watch the damned thing! It was almost like Vince going..."Man I really liked that...lets watch it again." That's for the board room Vinnie Mac, the audience doesn't need to watch the same thing 5 times.

How about last night when they kept showing us how to access the App? If you cared, you got it the first time. The majority of us who didn't care surely didn't need to keep be reminded of it!

What really bothered me about the "voting" was the fact that the winner was already written on the card for them to announce, so what was the point of having the voting.

I wish Punk would have won superstar of the year but its just a stupid award, holding the title for 393, scratch that, now 394 days is what matters. Though I did think it was bull no Punk matches were nominated for match of the year.

  11. Main Event is called such because they have some pretty important matches on that show. Most of the matches that closed ME could easily close a Cena-less Raw. Ion is paying WWE for an A/B level show and WWE delivers with main eventers wrestling.

But I'd rather watch highlights of a title change on Raw then knowing what the main event of the show is every 5 minutes.

  12. I don't know how to feel about RAW tonight.

I am glad they have finally split up Ziggler and Vickie. I knew there was going to be an angle to end the show when they booked Ziggler vs Cena again. Definitely didn't expect Big E Langston but having Raw end with Cena being attacked by a debuting/returning superstar for like the 5th time this year is old. There are reports that Cena is busted up and I would just have well let him take the month leading up to Rumble off. Get Vickie out and let her get a break for a few months and have her come back after Wrestlemania as a manager for a new superstar.

HHH confirmed that Undertaker would be back in the near future.

CM Punk vs Flair was pretty cool to see. Also good way to get The Shield some more heat by having them attack Flair. Though I don't know where they are going with that storyline and Ryback.

The match of the night, IMO, was Cesaro vs. Ryback, mainly because it was nice to see Cesaro get some good offense in on Ryback. I am a big fan of Cesaro and can't wait to see him enter the main event scene.

  13. I'm shocked and stoked that they gave Ziggler the win.

I think giving The Shield the win was the way to go, but I wish Bryan hadn't been the pin victim.

It really sucks that Kofi kept his belt, he's pretty stale with it and Barrett could have done great things, hopefully he'll go start something with Big Show or something now.

Ziggler gets the win but not cleanly, even though Cena got clean wins over Ziggler.

Nonetheless, I am interested to see where they head with story lines starting tomorrow. There needs to be a new threat to the WHC. What to do with Cena leading up to Rumble?

  14. The TLC PPV was tonight. In a classy move, they tolled the bell 26 times in remembrance of the Sandy Hook victims.

Team Rhodes Scholars are your #1 contender to the tag titles. Frankly, I hope they take the titles off of Kane/Bryan as I feel like it has run its course, but they seem united now since The Shield attack so maybe they carry this storyline longer.

Cesaro, Kingston, and Big Show all retained their titles. I hope Sheamus is out of the title picture now but I don't know where they go with him, and ergo, Big Show. I wonder if a returning Mark Henry comes back to feud with Big Show, though he plays a much better heel. Maybe they thrust Barrett into the title picture.

They started the rumored Alberto Del Rio face turn. They had the 3MB (ugh) attack Ricardo Rodriguez during MizTV and he was saved by Del Rio, and later the Miz. This led to a tag team match later in the show that saw the Brooklyn Brawler serve as the 3rd member and pick up the win. For storyline purposes, it moves along Del Rio and Miz as faces, but the 3MB is such a waste of time and I strongly dislike when they run a promo and then create an impromptu match on a PPV. They wasted 25 minutes on this tonight.

The Shield stole the show IMO, winning with a pin over Bryan. I hope they keep this storyline going.

Vickie came out during the main event to help Ziggler, but AJ stops her and takes her out, before promptly knocking the ladder over that Cena is on, costing him the match and sending Ziggler home with the PPV closing win.

With Randy Orton injured, I think it is time for Ziggler to cash the briefcase in on Big Show.
