Kjerstad for a LHB or Norby for 2B. Depends the direction they want to go but seems like they value the LHB and Kjerstad is already on the 40 man roster. Urias would move into the lineup which is fine as he hits RHP.
Gunnar SS, Adley C, Santander DH, O'Hearn 1B, Cowser LF, Kjerstad RF, Mullins CF, Westburg 2B, Urias 3B (McCann, Mateo, Hays, Mountcastle)
If Urias struggles, bring up whoever is doing better between Holliday and Norby.
I'd like to see both Kjerstand and Norby. Get rid of Urias as well. Though I suppose we could also promote Mayo and move Westy to 2B. Good problems!

The Orioles added the following players to the full-season injured list today:
- Daniel Federman
- Reese Sharp (Tommy John)
- Jean Pinto (Tommy John)
- Wyatt Cheney
- Hugo Beltran
- Adam Crampton (Tommy John)
- Trey Nordmann
- Conner Loeprich
- Nathan Webb (Tommy John)
- Noah Denoyer (Tommy John)
WHAT IS A FULL SEASON IL? WILL THEY ALL BE OUT FOR THE SEASON?

I think that would be a good move for the O's, just not sure there will be a lot of demand for O'Hearn. Other teams won't want the same roster crunch we already have.
-
We need to make some trades. I would go so far as to say we should trade a guy like Stowers who is MLB ready for a couple of high end younger prospects.
-
If you have a kid who has a shot to be rookie of the year than you gotta put him not he OD roster. Especially if he's earned it, which Holliday has. These chances don't come around every year.
-
Can't have Holliday going to camp thinking he's a lock to the be LH hitting side of the 2B platoon.

I think this guy has a role with the O's for the foreseeable future. They need his RH bat in the OF.
-
The right thing to do woudl be to trade him. Get some 18-19 year old lotto picks and do the right thing for the kid.

Thinks for sharing!
Sounds like Mateo is in line to compete with McKenna for the RH backup CF role. It would definitely be nice to open up that roster spot and maintain Mateo’s pinch runner role if he shows he can handle the CF defense requirements. I think he’ll rarely start if this ends up to be the case.
I"m not sure there is a RH backup CF/OF role if Cowser and Krjstad both are ready to go.

best team in the AL

medium sized move - like to see a bit more RH power. Jorge Soler?

If you commit to Mayo at 3rd then you are committing to Holliday at 2nd. Gunnar is playing somewhere on the left side.
I won't be surprised to see Mayo at first eventually as the replacement for Mounty.

BTW, he obviously had a back log of strories that MASN would push out at 4am. He clearly wasn't up hitting send at that time.
I imagine in the offseason he would write a handful of stories for 4-5 hours a few times a week, then relax.

I am going to four spring training games between March 5-13, before most of the cuts get made. I’m hoping to see a bit of Basallo and Mayo, and I’m really interested to see all the permutations of Westburg, Ortiz and Holliday playing in different spots to see how they all look. And, the Kjerstad/Cowser competition will be interesting to watch. Finally, I’m hoping to see how McDermott and Povich are looking. I saw both of them at Bowie in the latter part of 2022, and saw Povich for an inning or two last spring. It will be interesting to see what progress they’ve made.
I think people are sleeping on Johnson. Looking forward to see how he's throwing this spring.

I'll start....I'd like to see one game where we roll out this lineup:
- Holliday - SS
- Rutchman - C
- Henderson - 3B
- Krjstad - RF
- Mayo - 1B
- Basillo - DH
- Cowser - LF
- Westburg - 2B
- Bradfield Jr. - CF
And just for fun, Norby and Ortiz off the bench :-).

I'm totally fine not meeting their domands for Cease. If we are really willing to give up Holliday and other top prospects we should call the Yankees about Garrett Cole. Those packages they are talking should land any pitcher in baseball.

Anyone seen any photos of this new Academy?? Crazy they don't have more PR following the opening.

There is nothing in his history that suggests he can.
He's pitched more innings and demonstrated improvement every season. Just needs to continue the trend.

We know what Wells’ ceiling is and it’s not a guy that helps in October unless it’s in the pen..maybe.
Thats not what this team needs for 2024.
Disagree. Will take improvement but really only from a perspective of longevity. If he can give us 150 innings this year of what he did in the first 100 last year, that will be a very solid back end starter.

Done deal.
Thank God. Stroman would have been our 7th best starter.

As a fan I would be miserable watching this. So frustrating to watch.

Who would be a comparable comparison to Grissom in the Orioles organization?
Norby IMO

Zippy chance the Marlins take that deal.
Maybe not that one but I do think marlins would expect some ML talent as they are trying to win now. They won't be interested in taking risks on Norby or even some of the higher prospects.
