  1. Is there a way that Bradish could steal the ERA crown from Cole and Gray with less than a week to go in the season? Bradish is at 2.86 after last night. Gray is at 2.80, Cole is at 2.75. Cole goes tonight against a Jays team that's fighting for it's playoff life. I'm not sure how many runs he'd have go give up to get behind Bradish, but it could be close. I'm assuming that if we clinch the division tonight or Friday night we're shutting down Bradish, he wouldn't start on Sunday against Boston, right?
  2. That's fair, different strokes for different folks.
  3. Probably, but I wouldn't rule it out. I mean, I don't believe Kremer is untouchable, I don't think anyone here would agree that he should be. And if he's part of a package that could net something else that we need, I'd hope that Elias would pull the trigger. He is most likely our 4th or 5th starter next year but outside of our top 3 I don't think anything is written in stone.
  4. Yeah, he's not, like, '89 Jeff Ballard or anything. What's probably more important is that he's right now 9th in k/BB ratio and 3rd in WHIP. I admit that wanting to see him strike out more is a bit of nit picking. Only because I do believe he does have really good swing/miss stuff.
  5. He's paid to be a homer though. He's here for us.
  6. I am what I am. Of those two spots, I think Kremer is most likely a candidate to fill one, I also think Kremer could be traded. Irvin could fill one. Anyway, back to Bradish. I'd like to see him strike out more batters but I do believe he's a top 10 pitcher in MLB this year. He will receive down-ballot CYA votes. Great performance last night.
  7. Sure, you're right. Bradish, G-Rod, Means. Two spots are open.
  8. I understand why people like him. And when he's calling he action, he's fine. He's actually pretty good. It's the the corniness, the pop culture references, trying to make a stretch out of tiny facts no one cares about, (And 2019's FIRST overall pick grounds out to 2019's SECOND overall pick) and all the other idiosyncrasies that drive me up a wall. As far as TV PBP guys go over the course of my life I'd rank him a distant third behind Thorne and Mel Proctor and well ahead of 4th place Jim Hunter and 5th place Michael "Randall K Myers" Reghi.
  9. No one should be taking comments from Hyde or Elias on the rotation next year seriously. Outside of Bradish, G-Rod and maybe Kremer there are spots up for grabs. Wells hasn’t shown he can make it through a full season. As much as I like him, he can’t be counted on. Plus you know as well as I do and everyone else knows that there’s an entire offseason to navigate ahead. A lot can happen.
  10. I also never said I like Scott Garceau better. I’d prefer Kevin Brown to Garceau, obviously, but I just don’t really care for Kevin Brown. It’s not a schtick.
  11. I didn’t know Cano has only struck out 3 of his last 30. That’s not good.
