  1. I’m glad I’m in an area where I can’t watch this. I might stroke out.
  2. Wasn’t able to watch the game but it looks like he did pretty well.
  3. Curious to see from a stamina perspective because he's well above any amount of innings pitched in his career between AAA and Baltimore this year. He's at 151.2. The next highest total in his professional career is 103, that was 2021. Pitch load doesn't have much to do with it at this point. I'm not qualified enough to know when players are having mental letdowns, but a lot of other posters seem to be.
  4. Pretty sure the advanced stats show that Bradish's slider is elite. His fastball is coming around, but where he turned the corner last year was upping the slider usage.
  5. We picked him up a week or so before the trade deadline from the A's. It was a bit of an under the radar type of move...when he initially arrived the results were very mixed. Sometimes he looked great, other times he was wild. He, IIRC, admitted through his interpreter that he was nervous to come to a team that was headed down the stretch in playoff contention. I feel like I should look up the stats (I am too lazy to cruise over to bbreference) and his game records before saying this, but I also feel that he's been a bit better over the past 2-3 weeks or so. Yesterday against the Astros, he looked like the guy who just arrived from the A's before the deadline.
  6. Really curious to see how Grayson performs tonight coming off that last start where he shoved for 8 innings.
  7. JFC. Anyway, Fuji scares the crap out of me when he enters the game. I think @Tony-OHmade a really important point earlier though, he can't be used on back to back days...at least that's what the small sample size has shown since he's been here. And that's fine, but that's not always living in reality if he wants to be a good reliever at the ML level. I bet that every reliever outside of the closer would prefer not to pitch on back to back days but no one gets that luxury. He has some excellent stuff, though I'd like to see more movement on his fastball. I think it was noted earlier that it's pretty straight. To my eye, it looks pretty straight, too. But with a week and a half to go in the season and a playoff berth secured, we've gotta roll with what we've got and he's a significant part of the arm barn, for better or for worse. I am hoping he can get some good instruction over the offseason and that he can be a weapon for us in 2024.
  8. They do have a high probability of ending up as a split. And I'm okay with a split as long as we come out of the series at least two games up on Tampa (where we are now) and headed into the final week.
  9. Well, they went ahead and did it. You can go back and play previous grids and play ones you've missed. All the scores are tracked, too.
  10. I feel that Cleveland hasn't been a good matchup for us over the past few years. This series makes me a bit nervous. I don't want to settle for a split.
  11. I don’t know but I was laughing when I typed it. Dude, no team should be playing 17 games in a row. Especially now when everyone is worn down and guys are passing career highs in innings. The bullpen is gassed, partially because they haven’t had a day off in two weeks.
  12. You seem like a thin excuse to me. What do you think happens to a bullpen that’s relatively light on talent on a team that plays 17 days in a row?
  13. Still have 4 more games before a day off. IMO, no team should be playing 17 in a row in September. This is ridiculous.
  14. Coincidentally, here's Tucker to kill us after a phantom catcher's interference call.
  15. Probably. I'm reading Ben Clemens' article here and it's an ungodly, awful, like...stream of consciousness that just keeps rambling and going off in different tangents. It's a horribly written article.
