  1. Orioles Batters 1-8: We are going to work the count, take a lot of pitches and drive the pitch count up. Cowser: HEY GUYS WHATS HAPPENING
  2. That was a strike for the Mariners you cockbag.
  3. Am I the only one who, when the game is on and I've gotta take a squirt, make a sandwich, take the dog out....am I the only one that waits until we're on defense? Or is that all of you, too?
  4. I’ll take 20+ pitches against Castillo in the first inning.
  5. I like the tops. Blue/yellow is great. black pants are awful.
  6. Well I see the umpire is a trashcan tonight.
  7. Glad to see that Melanie has her required amount of flair on.
  8. I still don’t think he’s brought back tonight if this hasn’t become the ****storm it has become. The thing that sucks here is that JA is most likely wondering why people think he’s an asshole.
  9. Remember when Manoah was brought back up and was looking great? Good times. Maybe he can bump this tune on his drive down to AAA.
  10. KB has been out since July 23rd. Say in an parallel universe, KB is suspended for the exact same thing on the 23rd and no one notices or cares, for arguments sake. There's no national uproar, there's no one taking shots at JA...it goes relatively unnoticed. It's brought up here on this board in passing because we're a savvy bunch who pay close attention to details but that's about it. Is there any chance KB comes back tonite? Glad to hear you care about the product on the field. The rest of us here clearly don't.
  11. I doubt it would come to a hearing or a trial. There'd probably be one side who wants to settle. I don't think Brown would be the litigious party in this case...in other words, he's not the one calling the lawyer and bringing up charges. IMO, Brown would just want out and to get as far away from JA as possible. Probably correct but he can go on and do national assignments, college football games, etc. He's already done college football for ESPN, IIRC.
  12. The Rockies directly compete against the Orioles 6 times a season due to the new schedule that MLB rolled out this year. They're not competing in the same division, they're not competing in the same league. The competition happens between the players on the field, not in the broadcast booth. You're right, the Angelos family might tie things up in court...only to be the douchebags that they are and try to intimidate Brown and wear him out financially. But given how he's become fairly high profile, I bet there are some lawyers out there who'd work for him pro-bono or at a severely reduced rate. The flip side of that coin is that if you believe what Connolly reported the other day, Angelos was irate that this leaked and upset about how he's been portrayed. If he had any sense (and we know he doesn't, but maybe he'd just get it once) he'd realize that going after the PBP guy in court is probably a bad look for him. He'd be better off to wish him well.
  13. THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES! -webbrick's thoughts on management
  14. He'll weave it into a pop culture reference, no doubt.
  15. I think you just explained it yourself there. Anywho, my 20 second Google search found this: It's a non-COMPETE. It prevents employees from competing with their employers for a specific period of time after employment has ended. If the Colorado Rockies wanted to hire Brown tomorrow, is that really competing with the Orioles? I don't think so. Even then, Maryland courts can throw out the entire agreement altogether if it has unreasonable or oppressive impact on the employee. That means that JA can't NOT allow Brown to find work. This is where the lawyering would come in, ain't that right @Frobby?
