I don't believe it either.
No Arnold, no Hollander...no McDonald, Palmer, Olson, Brach, Devo...
Newman and Dave Johnson (who I've never thought was that bad, I don't get why a lot of people dislike him) are like...the D team.
The fact that they put Newman in there is almost like they're giving everyone a middle finger for complaining about how KB has been treated.
I didn't know Dave Johnson was around still. Strange.
I think the Urias injury bails them out. I don't think they send Cowser down.
Maybe they do. Maybe they'll want to protect the rookie status for next year.
Of course, I'll take that all day, too.
But like you touched on, I'm curious to see how bad the cold streak is. I want to see how bad the slump is.
I don't know if it'll be as bad as it was earlier this year but I don't have many doubts that he'll revert back to a .250 avg/.290 OBP type. Maybe .310, .320 OBP.
I hope the changes he's made are legit and he can stay with them.
I don’t dislike Devo as a broadcaster. My issue is that his voice is so soft for some reason, at least to my ears. They need to turn his microphone up, it’s hard to hear him.
I’d rather listen to him than Bordick.
JLC is annoying and I’m pretty sure he’s not in the broadcast booth last night without the KB drama. He only existed last night to try and remind everyone how good the Orioles are and to ignore the large elephant in the room.
MASN making people wear team gear on the air is a bit silly though. I don't know if anyone is going to see Rob Long and want the gear he was wearing last night.
I don't understand how having a facial hair policy, as archaic as it is, is worse than what the Orioles did here. It's akin to a dress code policy that a lot of companies have. I'm also not clear on the forced displays of patriotism.
I'm also not understanding why people think the Orioles are a target for anyone. What does wealth have to do with it, other than people's obsession over money that doesn't belong to them?
I know
There's a little over a month and a half left. I think Mateo is here to stay unless he does something catastrophically terrible.
I'd rank them:
Ortiz
Holliday
Mateo
Holliday is the biggest question mark of the three, however I don't think he could be as bad as Mateo has been with the bat. I don't know much about his defense...but as of late, with the infield defense, it would hard to be just as bad if not worse.
