It’s a dumb thing for Elias to care about, unless he wants to see one of these guys win Rookie of the Year, which would be a dumb thing for him to care about. And if he wants to see one of these guys win ROTY, then they should break camp with the team after ST in order to have the most amount of playing time to win.

Who cares?

That’s right, the positions that some of our prospects could fill, the guys on the ML team have set a preposterously low bar to hurdle. If Cowser or Westburg or Ortiz comes up and struggles, they can’t possibly be that much worse than Mateo, Mountcastle and Frazier. We can go off of what Elias did last year, promoting Gunnar in August. Perhaps that what he’ll do here. I’m not sure why he’d wait another 1.5-2 months but only he knows why.

Yesterday. I get gaming the service time clock, Super 2 and whatever. I’m fine with that and I know it’s part of the game. And if Elias wants to do that and deny that he does it, I’m fine with that. But that time has come and gone this year. And for guys that could contribute this year, I want them up now. Again, if Elias wants to game the clock next year, I’m fine with that, too, though I think some of these guys should probably break camp and go north for opening day. But to drag this **** into July is inexcusable.

No doubt the ball was smashed but Frazier was there. At any rate, our offense was flaccid last night. I don’t think we win that game anyway.

I’ll shovel enough dirt on the Irvin deal for both of us @Can_of_corn It’s not that I thought Hernaiz was untouchable, it’s that I didn’t see Irvin as a must have piece for our rotation headed into this year. And he’s been awful. In regards to Mayo, given his size, I’m wondering if he’s our future first baseman.

I’m not broken up about Gillaspie being used up already. I hate the Mariners.

That missed DP chance last night was egregious. Gibson had his own issues for sure but that’s when the pitch count started skyrocketing. Maybe he can get through another inning if Frazier can get his glove on the ground.
