  1. At least we’re driving the pitch count up on their starter, too. With any luck we can win a bullpen battle.
  2. Fairly confident we’ll leave em loaded here. But that was a hell of a take from Henderson.
  3. Yeah, this is where I am. It doesn’t damage my long term perception of what he can be, but you just wanna see a guy step up from the minors and be a good addition right away.
  4. Lol, the "Why should the batter feel bad about hitting the pitcher in the head with a line drive," guy is crying about his rep and how he's been moderated on here. This is funny.
  5. These people exist for the hot takes. You wouldn't be talking about him if he said something reasonable about Cooper Kupp.
  6. https://www.masnsports.com/blog/orioles-recall-irvin-and-option-gillaspie Gillaspie sent down.
  7. Or we could see him steadily progress and settle into a #2 role. Why's that not a possibility? Are you going to say that every great prospect needs to stay in Baltimore after they arrive no matter how bad they are for extended periods of time? I think you'll agree that a one size fits all approach isn't great for each player. Maybe some of these guys do need to get sent down. I'm not advocating that G-Rod should be sent down now, mind you.
  8. I think this is a pretty fair assessment. IMO, I don't think he repeats his delivery that well. You can see it with the way that he finishes his delivery, it's not consistent every time. Sometimes he finishes upright, swinging his leg around, other times he finishes more bent over the front leg. That's pretty troubling for someone who is that highly touted.
  9. I think it's a bit premature to send him back to AAA, too. But how long of a leash are you willing to give him? Especially if Irvin keeps throwing well. That's not to say that Irvin can't take someone else's place in the rotation but G-Rod can be a candidate for that, too.
  10. I don't know about putting him back in the rotation but he's come around quite nicely. I wouldn't be 100% opposed to it but if Grayson has a few more bad outings and if Voth keeps pitching well, I think the case could be made.
  11. I think a meatball is a lack of command. Not giving in, IMO, is having the confidence to throw strikes even if you don’t have your best stuff. In other words he doesn’t nibble.
  12. It was a good start. Tonight was terrible. Gotta keep trotting him out there until he hits his innings limit though. While overall he’s been disappointing, he’s flashed a little. He doesn’t give in, which I like.
  13. Boom. Good news is that he’s got time to right the ship.
  14. Did Just Regular hack your account? I have no idea what this means.
  15. Sure, it's possible. We're still trying to figure out if the real Mateo will stand up and what that guy looks like. Hard to tell.
  16. Yeah, Ohtani is gonna shove, no doubt about it. We beat him last year, though. Maybe we can do it again. We'll have our hands full tonight, that's for sure.
  17. Maybe he can get hot again. I don't have my hopes too high about that, though.
  18. Also, I'd have Santander at DH, Mountcastle at 1st. I'm not sure what the point of that is, but whatever. I hope Tony can pick it around the bag and handle all his chances cleanly.
  19. Frazier, Vavra, Mateo is pretty brutal.
