  1. Aw, you gotta let Bradish go the distance here. I get having Bautista up but there's a Maddux on the line here.
  2. Good God, that changeup was like a screwball.
  3. Depends on who that TOR arm is, how much is left on the deal, etc. I don't think anyone is asking for Mateo as a headliner, that's for sure. It'd depend on who all else is included, too. Anyway, only Henderson and Rutschman are the untouchable guys on this current roster. I could see Mateo being moved. As far as Ortiz goes, whatever. I don't think he should just be handed the position, he'd have to earn it in a battle between Westburg and Urias. I mean, even put Gunnar at SS, Urias at 3rd.
  4. Enjoying watching Bradish more this year than I ever really liked watching Bundy.
  5. You're the biggest hornball on here, it's pretty hilarious.
  6. I'm becoming more and more in favor of holding onto him and having him be the OD SS. Gunnar at 3rd. Open contest for 2nd base, Ortiz, Westburg, Urias, whatever. Mateo's defense is legit, it passes the eye test, the advanced metrics bear it out. And he can hurt teams on the basepaths. If he can get any better with the bat, get that OPS north of .700, that's a valuable guy hitting 9th. I'm not saying he's a piece for the next 5+ years, there's Jackson Holiday, Ortiz, Westburg and probably others who'll push him out especially if he's not a great hitter. But that defense is something special, I wouldn't be so cavalier in thinking it's expendable. BuT JoEy OrTiZ!!1111 Spare me.
  7. That is insane. Bradish threw nothing but strikes to the last 8 hitters before Bregman. Dialed in.
  8. Man, Palmer is heaping the praise on Mateo's defense.
  9. Right, that's it? I thought there was more to it.
  10. No, I know. I get why making the first out at 3rd base is stupid, never was clear on why it was such a crime to make the 3rd out there. Ced's out was stupid, I hope it doesn't cost them.
  11. 35 years ago, they weren't 50 year old games.
  12. I'd love to know what he was thinking. Or what he thought he saw. Oh well, it's over now. Bradish is dealing.
  13. Is making the third out at home by being gunned by 20 feet any better? Sheesh, what was he thinking? That was terrible.
  14. Man, this is awesome. The it's soft contact, too. He can get through this inning in less than 10 pitches if he gets Mancini here.
  15. Verlander with 73 pitches through 4, that's awesome.
  16. Speaking of opposite field, look at RMC with the nice line drive to right-center.
  17. Exactly right, he's not trying to muscle up and go deep all the time. He's patient, doesn't swing much out of the zone and makes the pitcher work. He is the son of a hitting coach, I'm assuming he's comfortable going to the opposite field to fight something off. He doesn't look pull-happy.
  18. Gotta floss those toofers, Gurgi. No one here's trying to hear about your plaque and subsequent gum disease homie.
  19. OH MY GOD I AM SO TIRED OF THE ANTONELLIS AND THEIR CHEESE SHOP
  20. I really don't care about a lack of power if he gets on base at a .380-ish clip and makes pitchers throw a lot of pitches.
