  1. You didn't have his Jockey poster, too? I kid, I kid. It doesn't look like this board supports uploading photos. You'd have to put it on a website and then link to it or something.
  2. And the 21 year old grounds to second against the 39 year old... This is when I find Kevin Brown annoying. Pointing out the obvious age difference like it's an interesting revelation.
  3. He does. He deserves a rotation spot next year.
  4. Nah, it's not going to be moved for a long time, if ever.
  5. Also: I take comfort in knowing that we single-handedly delayed Judge’s 61st homer.
  6. He should have been playing them all along. Maybe we'd be closer in the WC race if we had a guy, like Vavra, who can draw a few walks and a guy like Stowers who can run into a fastball every once in awhile.
  7. Vavra, two walks and a hit. And I bet anything he's on the bench tomorrow.
  8. Yeah, I think the Tigers have had us by the tail this year. And by a good bit.
  9. That was a nice grab. DJ Stewart would have turned it into an adventure.
  10. As I mentioned before, I think getting good players is the biggest piece here. I will also say that I like the idea of moving the wall back and making it higher, however I think they went a little overboard by about 10 feet or so. Tonight, Mountcastle hit a drive that would have been a homer in any other park in the majors but it was a long out (Baddoo made a nice grab against the wall) here. I'm of the opinion that if you hit a ball hard like that, you should be rewarded for it. At the very least, I believe that ball should have been off the wall and if it were 10 feet closer, it probably would have been or maybe gotten out into the first row. Anyway, like I said, I think they moved it back a little too far. Overall, I'm still happy with it though.
  11. Let me get this straight: 5 runs in a game where Vavra and Stowers are playing. Both have scored runs. Vavra has a couple of walks. Stowers has gone deep. And they haven't been playing all the time? What are the odds both of them aren't in the lineup tomorrow?
  12. They’re totally pressing and popping everything up.
  13. This stings. And I know that on any given night, any team can beat a better team. But if we're looking at this Orioles team as a good team, or even a merely competent team, losing 5 games to the Tigers and getting beat by the A's is pretty inexcusable. A good team should take 2-3 from the Tigers and A's in each series. Again, I'm aware that it doesn't always work that way but I think at least a split against the Tigers should be something we could have accomplished. I don't want to say this team is in a tailspin because they've outperformed practically every prediction anyone ever had for them before this season, but the way they've played over the past two weeks has been disappointing. I mean, Patrick Corbin looked good against us, FFS. And now we're looking at another sweep against the Tigers? It's not what you want to see from a team who you perceive as "up and coming."
