  1. In case anyone wants to see it...1983, Joe Morgan/Ozzie Virgil I'm assuming Phillies fans thought that they were a team of destiny on that day. Broadcaster takes a swipe at Frank Robinson's managing skills, too.
  2. Wow, thats some wild company to be in. Pinch hit grand slam from Ozzie Virgil? Pretty sure that guy wasn't a big time power hitter. Walkoffs on Sandy Koufax and an inside the parker from Reggie? Those are games I'd love to have seen.
  3. Yeah, that's true. Pitcher wants to get a first pitch strike, they want to put something over the plate or near the plate. I think you can do both, though...I think you can take a rip at the first pitch if it's in the zone and if you miss or check your swing...well, you can still have a productive at bat. You can still work a count. So basically the Orioles are Babe Ruth on the first pitch. If that's the case, then why have they been in a 2 week slump?
  4. He’s like if DirtyBird and OnlyOneOriole had a kid
  5. This ain’t New York and that ain’t Jeffrey Maier.
  6. He ain’t long for here. Unless he starts mashing right away or something.
  7. If you're Stowers, you're happy to have two or three weeks in Baltimore again cause this is probably your last go-round here.
  8. I was excited last year because it looked like we were building an offense that could work counts, take walks, drive up starters pitch counts and provide consistent runs. Yeah, there were some dry spells last summer but they seemed few and far between. Watching this offense right now is borderline insufferable.
  9. Yeah, I still don't feel great about it. Offense has been terrible outside of Adley's recent power surge.
  10. Tying run on to lead off the 9th on the IKF error! How are we going to screw this up now?
  11. Lotta shuffling of players around in order to score 1 run this game, Hyde. Awesome.
  12. That might have been the %$#@tiest at bat of the afternoon. Not even f'ing close. I like Urias but that was pathetic...both as a decision to let him hit and his effort.
  13. He missed but I don't think it looks particularly clear. It's not definitive, like my guy KB just said.
