  1. I get that people want to tune into whatever games are left and see our best players but I agree, it is stupid. He's got 30/30 in the bag, there's no upside in playing him.
  2. Absolutely. I'm not sure what the healing time is for something like that but I'm assuming it might cut into ST. Wouldn't want that guy playing 2022 with a hamstring injury, those tend to be nagging.
  3. I think what CoC is saying is that it's an outlier.
  4. You guys are so obsessed over "models" and I can't be the only one who finds this **** obnoxious. "No, you guys, he's following the Astros model." "Well this is what the Rays did and this is what Elias has done so clearly he's following the Rays model, duh" "Astros model!" "No, RAYS MODEL!" "ASTROS MODEL!!!!!1111" "Rays!!!!!" "ASTROS DUH come on thats where he got a lot of his experience, it only makes sense that he's going to follow the ASTROS MODEL!!!!! If the Astros didn't do it when they were building their team, Elias isn't going to do it!!!" Did it occur to any of you that Elias is just going to do whatever he wants and not be beholden to any one model?
  5. It's weird that people are upset that Mullins is getting time off. I think a lot of you have forgotten that this is easily the most he's played at the ML level.
  6. I'd like it if the Orioles did something to lock him up. I'm not going to speculate on the years/dollar amount, that's really anyone's guess. But someone who's headed into his age 24 season would be foolish not to take a substantial (again, anyone's guess as to what that is) deal that could make him financially secure for life (he already should be, but still) before playing a single major league game. I'm not interested in doing that for just anyone...but the #1 prospect in the sport, certainly. I don't care that he's a catcher, he'll most likely be moving to first base at some point anyway. Plus the way that sports medicine and treatment is these days, he might be able to catch longer than we're expecting. Who knows. This is a franchise that can spend money. I don't think they can spend like the Sox/Yankees can year in, year out..but they've shown they can spend 140-160 before. They need to do what they can to lock up good talent so it doesn't reach FA...and if it does reach FA, they've already spent their best years here.
  7. No, just to make sure he can get to balls. I'm not worried about fielding errors, I just hope that he's got the range to be able to get to balls so he can stick at SS. Throwing errors can be fixed.
  8. It’s a 50 win team, dude. Get it together.
  9. Which? That he's getting guys up in the pen and not bringing them in? Or pitching someone 4 times in 5 games?
  10. That play was impressive. It's good to see him having a good playoff series. If I am Elias I am doing what I can to get Cal to work with Henderson in the offseason to teach him about positioning at shortstop. Taking lessons from a big guy who played SS would be pretty important and no one did it better than Cal. Henderson is listed as 6'3, 195. Who knows how accurate that weight is, but he's certainly going to fill out. Not sure if that'll prohibit his range at all, but it'd be great to have him stick at SS with Mayo at 3rd.
  11. That's a dinger. One run game. Dillon Tate! Oh no!
  12. Damn, my feed is behind. Also, internet is slow. That was a line drive bullet!
