I want the 1:1 pick, too. But for as crappy as this season has been from a W/L perspective, there's still been a lot to be pleased with. Like Mullins 30/30, Mountcastle being a legit rookie of the year candidate and leading all rookies in homers, Mancini bounceback, Means no-hitter...and that's not counting what's happened down on the farm with AR, G-Rod, Henderson, Mayo, Pinto, etc.
It's been a bad year on the surface but there's been a lot of good stuff that's happened...unlike the 2018 team which was the corpse of a once good team. All I can remember from that year is a team that played well below expectations (even if those expectations were modest), unloading players at the deadline and getting guys back who's names I can no longer recall.
At least there will be some highlights to look back on in several years. Maybe this will mark the start of a turnaround. Knowing the Orioles, probably not...but it could.
