This is going to be a big start for Wells. I'm hoping for a rebound from his last two atrocities and that he can keep the Yankees in the yard.

If you are going to compare what Hays and Santander are doing compared to Cowser and pretend there is a comp there, then we don't have much more to discuss.

This is basically it. The other players that struggled showed glimpses. Nobody is freaking out, but if you guys think every top prospect is going to not be a miss, you're going to be disappointed. We will have guys who don't make it.

I don't think the point of the discussion is not to be patient, it's whats going on and it's just being pointed out here, stat wise.

Cowser isn't hitting fastballs, either. I think that is the most odd thing to me. He's slugging .053 on fastballs with a 23% Whiff and a 21.1% PutAway %. I could see if he's getting eaten up by sliders or changeups but he's not hitting the fastball at all.

I think the bolded is the important part. Most MLB batters are not swinging at pitches that are balls out of the hand. Sure, some do, but good teams make you throw strikes and if they know you have just the fastball, you can get in trouble.
