  1. I trust the O’s and Elias’ handling of him. Similar to Decosta and the Ravens, they seem to make more good decisions than other clubs do. I think he can work it out at the major league level if they do. Wouldn’t be worried if he got sent down to regain some confidence.
  2. Casually reading the game thread watching everyone freak as each new reliever comes in is sad yet comical. My wife doesn’t understand why I look so nervous but keep laughing at my phone. You guys are priceless!
  3. Wow, brutal. What a story
  4. I took his comment as more of a hope that the powers that be/Elias have not put too many eggs in the Means basket. Which, to be fair, I have a lot of faith in Elias.
  5. HAHA! I will say, I found all of the Dylan Cease/White Sox stuff amusing. All of the back and forth banter was great at helping the offseason pass.
  6. He is a tech guy. Said he paid 350 one time up front for a box. Would need a box for each TV. Said he has no need for cable. Had every college basketball game, every baseball game, every NHL game. Not sure how it was legal or what. Could literally watch ABC locally for each market. Had like 40 local abc channels.
  7. I legit asked my father in law to find MASN and he did and pulled up the spring training game.
  8. My father in law pulled it up, had MASN and MASN2. Was watching the spring training game today. I was skeptical but it seemed like it worked.
  9. Seems pretty cool from what I am seeing. Can get 1000+ channels, sports networks, etc. Anyone try it?
  10. I am hoping for something in between Juan Pierre and Kenny Lofton. Kenny Lofton had 68 BWAR which is insane vs. Pierre's 17. I would hope Bradfield would have a higher defensive floor than Pierre although I was hoping to give Bradfield a little more time before trying to project him. At what age are people hoping he comes up. Does coming up in 2 years, meaning he spends age 22 and 23 in the minors, be too aggressive? At some point, the speed and defensive value would decline, right? I would hope he could be up in the majors by 24, although that could be too lofty.
  11. I certainly don't think I can place a value on anything in spring training one way or the other. Its hard to tell who is experimenting, trying something new or just not going hard. But it never hurts to see plate discipline, hard contact, pitchers throwing strikes with good velocity etc. Again, nothing to base anything really on, but maybe slightly helpful nonetheless.
  12. Is there something wrong with me that I kinda liked Baker. No clue why. Wasn't he the guy who would be the goofy moonwalk off the mound. I found him to be the most comical part of last season.
  13. Sports Guy - I like the alignment you have laid out and I agree that they should try to get to the point of not moving people all over the place. A question for you: do you know (cant remember what Tony said) how well Holliday projects at short? Does he project to have the range and arm? Gunnar graded pretty well at short last year (I believe), but definitely looks to be a good fit at 3rd as well.
  14. I like Elias, I have faith. I totally get being annoyed that they haven't done much outside of Kimbrel. But at the end of the day, even if Elias does absolutely nothing, its just so hard to be really mad. He turned a dumpster fire of an org into a really respectable org without spending nearly as much money as other.
