I think WHIP is probably a dated state. I feel like BB should not be included, but that's just me. In any event, if a guy throws 60IP and allows 40 hits, but walks 28, while striking out 28% he's going to have a high WHIP and probably not a lot of damage.

Soto has a FIP of 3.61, I don't look at ERA, it's an especially stupid way to judge a RP because one really bad inning can hose you for the season. If you look at the advanced metrics instead of the silly stats, you'd probably feel a bit better about both of them.

Burnes is throwing the 2 seamer not the cutter that hard. He rarely ever uses it, perhaps that's the velo on it.

When Jimenez was 22 he was hitting 31 homers in the MLB. That's a bold statement. I get that he's been hurt a lot, but he's probably not cooked at 27. He's still in the 90th percentile in EV and HH%.
