  1. He sounded like a man vaguely annoyed that the only had boneless pork shoulders at the butcher rather than the bone-in shoulders he was hoping for.
  2. Pretty sure the Reds color guy is, sadly, deceased. Haven't heard him say a word in innings. This feels like a MAC student broadcast.
  3. As there have been two Simpson memes post in this thread already, I'd like to go on record saying that Hyde is perfectly cromulent.
  4. Very glad it is wet and in the 60s in Cincy.
  5. "Should the Reds fall they would plummet back to .500." I'm dying.
  6. This is a game thread, so I know this is an impossible request, but does anyone have a remotely logical theory as to why removing Irvin made sense?
  7. I'm so glad you finally came to. The whole board was worried about you.
  8. Imagine being an 80s baseball fan who just woke up from a coma and you saw a guy pitching a shutout with only 70-some pitches getting pulled.
  9. That one had some bite. Would have held the green for sure.
  10. I say this kindly and in jest, but after a breakout inning, this is the most Baltimore fan post I have ever read.
  11. Turns out your stream was just really, really ahead of mine.
  12. I read this in a Barry Keoghan voice.
  13. According to the Reds' booth, it was a "really nice effort."
  14. Yes. Because at least I'd have the camaraderie of whining about them here. I'm on an island here.
  15. I cannot emphasize how much—while listening to the Reds broadcast—I feel like a North Korean watching an American complaining about his flight being delayed. You have no idea how good you have it.
  16. Pretty sure that last line is why my Friday night plans fell through and I'm here posting with you goobers.
  17. And here I was getting excited that your stream was ahead of mine.
  18. That is bizarre. Meanwhile the Reds booth sounds like makes MLB: The Show announcers from 2005 seem human.
  19. I've complained about them once already, but the Reds announcers are what would happen if you replace play by play with AI. I cannot imagine watching this broadcast 162 times a year.
  20. Uhh yes. That's it. Definitely not in Washington, D.C. watching the game via less than savory means. * hears a crash outside *
  21. I do not enjoy the Reds announcers.
  22. Kinda need Elly to go 12 for 12 this series or go 1 for 12 with six errors. Either outcome would be hilarious from an OH perspective.
  23. May be worth keeping MiLB Gameday open in another window: https://www.milb.com/gameday/tides-vs-sounds/2024/05/03/752778/live/box
  24. Having three men on with no outs would have been cool!
  25. All Torkelson talk reminded me of Justin Smoak, which, in turn, reminded me of Jtrea. He now has a blog about roundabouts. Good for him. https://jtrea81.medium.com/thinking-round-6b3df2c9d1c7
