  1. I was like “what is hit by pitch medicine?”
  2. Curious if you’ve seen him in person. Is it that he’s not that defensively gifted or does he just have great range that leads to more plays on difficult balls?
  3. Mr. Poche is one of the PTBNL in the Steven Souza trade between Tampa Bay and Arizona.
  4. Our old friend Luis Hernandez retired today. I know you're shocked. In 2008 the Orioles trotted out five different shortstops: Alex Cintron, Freddie Bynum, Brandon Fahey, Juan Castro, and "Little Luis". They combined for 635 plate appearances in the infield, amassing a WAR of ... **drumroll**... -5.0. That has to be the worst combined performance at (mostly) a single position in history.
  5. That .444 BABIP is going to crash hard into the ground. Then Jose Bautista will take his job.
  6. Our old pal Brandon Snyder, 1st round pick from 13 years ago (!!) getting another call up for the Rays.

  8. They are both filler, so I’m not sure it matters. Outside of Mountcastle (who is hurt) there’s very little 3B prospect depth. For this reason, either could potentially get a cup of coffee one day but a “Feliz vs Dosch” isn’t really a conversation worth having.
  9. I wonder if there is any analytic that would convert SB -> 2B and CS -> (H)
  10. He is more active on Twitter than Jones is, my lord. He retweets everything he sees.
  11. Is this tongue in cheek? It sounds tongue in cheek.
  12. You get the feeling that he’s getting leap frogged to the point that he won’t see a major league roster soon. The Orioles have a bunch of promise in guys like Stewart, Mullins, and Hays. Plus the big league experience of Brugman, Rickard and Presley. Just too many options here. He could hit his way out of Bowie.
  13. What the heck does Gausman have to with this?
  14. Why is it hard for you to understand they have had similar K rates and similar degrees of success. My point is that we are doing Gallardo all over again.
  15. What difference does it make if your K rate is the same.
  16. Cashner is perpetually hurt. I even suspect it wasn't him pitching for Texas.
