What are they going to do with McKenna, trade him for a bag of donuts?

Otis Nixon Didn’t carry a big stick and had a very respectable career playing great defense in center getting on base and stealing bases.

EBJ = Willie Mays Hayes

Moreover, Comcast’s contract withMASN is set to expire at the end of February. Ifa deal is not reached, the TV provider would no longer broadcast Nationals and Orioles games. MASN, which has already undergone cost-cutting measures, would also lose out on valuable income.
So does that mean since I have Comcast I won’t be able to watch games this year?

Please just upgrade the sound system.

Awful lot of capital gains tax their going to have to pay. I would of thought they would wait until Peter passed so they get the step up basis.

Hyde’s played the splits all here I don’t think it’s going to change tomorrow except Hicks in CF. I imagine O’hearn over Mounty at first and Kjerstad will DH. With Mateo swinging a hot stick I think he’ll get the start at short and I imagine Frazer gets the start over Westburg.

Surprised this hasn't been a thread on this yet. Of course, we don't even know the rosters yet but we can guess the starting nine.
Vs Jordan Montgomery, a LHP with fairly even splits.
C Adley
LF Hays
RF Santander
1B Mountcastle
SS Gunnar
DH Hicks
CF Mullins
2B Westburg
3B Ortiz
Going by matchups, Mateo is a consideration since Ramon does not have great splits vs LHP. Still, I am going with Westburg/Ortiz, with Ortiz in the 9 spot due to his reverse splits.
Gunnar improved vs LHP but I'm still not liking his .210/.618 in a prime spot. I just don't think having him high in the order is a good idea in a playoff game, although we may regret batting him lower when it gets to the later innings. Sorry, Gunnar. I've got Hays batting second, although I am tempted to go with Hicks all of a sudden.
McCann could be a consideration but that would force Hicks to the bench. I'd look for him to maybe start a game later in the series if we are facing a LHP and have a lead, otherwise it's Adley C and Hicks DH vs LHP.
Anyone got a better lineup to win Game 1?
Isn't Heaney pitching not Montgomery?

It'll probably be Bradish but I would not be surprised if it's Means especially now that it's Texas and they have a heavy lh hitting lineup. If its not Means game one he'll get the ball game 2

Brooks Robinson children.

Looks like rain in the afternoon Saturday but clear skies in the evening I wonder how that would affect the situation.
-
Between Tampa and Texas whose lineup is more heavily right handed? I think that makes a big difference playing at the yard?

For what it’s worth I went back 15 years and the earliest game 1 of any division series ever started was 3:07pm

Three times down to their last strike in the game...this team battled and took the lead..Yes, its a disappointment and a big one...if we had won would could have punched our ticket to the AL division title...but we didnt...and we may lose many games ahead...theres just nothing left of this bullpen...but we never give up, and always battle..Im proud as hell to be an Oriole fan...and I love our guys..
Would we really had won the division last night if we’d won??

I get wanting a left handed bat to face a right handed pitcher but I think I would Hays hit in that situation. Hays has been seeing the ball pretty good lately.

Is Rodriguez to the pen in the playoffs out of the question? As of right now he’s thrown about 150 innings. If I remember correctly did t Tampa do something similar with David Price?
-
Hicks is 5-13 with a triple and hr vs Glasnow. Best numbers vs Glasnow of any O’s hitter.
-
Few more starts like that and he’ll take some votes away from Gunnar.

I've always thought of DL Hall as a future closer. Lets see what he's got.

I'd wanna keep Basallo, try to give them Povich and another arm and/or another position player.
I'd like to keep him to but if they insisted on him I'd pull the trigger.

Ortiz, Norby and Basallo should get it done for Cease
-
All the talka bout Verlander, E-Rod Lorenzen and Cease and we'll probably end up with Ryan Yarborough.

Mets really going to trade him to a division rival and possibly face him the next 2 1/2 years? It's not like they are going into a total rebuild. Seems odd.
Good point.

It's likely Mckenna gets released and Holiday doesn't break camp with the team. That opens up roster spots for both Cowser and Kjerstad.
