  1. They spent 8.8 million on the Hobgood draft and walked away with a relief pitcher.
  2. I'm not disagree with you, I just don't like folks using Aiken as an example. No way they could have seen that coming and they didn't sign him.
  3. That really isn't true. Guys have managed to crash and burn in under three years (Josh Hart anyone?).
  4. If they end up not spending their whole allotment folks will be upset. I fully expect them to spend it all (assuming they all sign).
  5. I think that if you have a 60+/60+ bat than the other teams will be actively pitching around you, which should lead to some walks.
  6. AIKEN HAD AN INJURY ISSUE. They didn't blow anything, they had no way to know.
  7. If you want to think that? I don't recall anyone distinguishing themselves that draft year. One mock even had Gausman going 1-1.
  8. Poor walk numbers, unexceptional speed and little defensive value. The left handed power is there, I'll give him that.
  9. Why should he back out? Not like the Ironbirds will be playing this season.
  10. He would have backed down from it. They almost always do in the end. Honestly, I'd be OK with picking 1-3 and having a monstrous draft pool in 2021.
  11. Elias need to be on the phone with his target at #30 convincing him to scare away other teams.
