  1. I thought that it was the fact that he was rich and famous.
  2. I see the line about them risking their health and I can't help but think that they will be taken care of to the extent that the guy bagging their groceries is putting themselves more at risk. They are going to have private transportation, private hotel rooms, on demand testing. I don't think they are going to be at much of an increased risk.
  3. That is the word. Of course the part time workers only get half (half of Walmart's hourly workers are part time).
  4. Walmart gave hourly employees a $300 dollar bonus for working through the Pandemic. I think MLB can follow suit.
  5. I'm not sure how big a raise it's going to be but yea, I read some stuff months ago that makes me think it is going to happen.
  6. Realistically every team should be able to absorb the loss for one year.
  7. I think that if the players don't decide to play in 2020 that it pretty much guarantee a work stoppage after the 2021 season. I think that no baseball in 2020 combined with a stoppage in 2022 will do a huge amount of damage to a sport that has been raking in the money.
  8. In baseball's defense that does happen in the NBA and to a lesser extent the NFL. In fact I'd say the NBA invented it.
  9. I'm all for blaming batters for stepping out of the box and adjusting things after every pitch.
  10. I seem to recall McEnroe matches having a lot of wasted time.
  11. Think how useful a deep look into the owners' books would be come the next CBA.
  12. How about you check out franchise values? Royals are the most recent team to be sold. They sold for a billion. The last time they were sold was 2000. They sold for 96 million. i think your famous money man isn't relevant today.
  13. It's an easy argument for owners to make when they don't have any attendance.
  14. So you are holding MLB to a standard that you wouldn't hold yourself? That seems irrational. As for your question I do think that is in the works.
  15. You just sidestepped my question. If you had a business and you realized that it was being run inefficiently would you just leave it?
  16. If you had a business and you realized it was being run inefficiently would you just leave it?
  17. If you want to implement a swing change, or pitching delivery tweak it has to be a lot more difficult in game situations. In a controlled environment they are getting instant feedback.
